Omg the pies & sweets are yummy and the decor looks like a old bank or something. No complaints staff were great & a yng man was clearing but 5pm yesterday customers were complaining about the state of the toilets yet no one told them, theres a sign up. It was REALLY BAD but look if your disabled maybe you couldnt get to the toilet in time but pooh on the floor ruined what was a great vex po experience for some. Not me though yummy.

Good place to come for a bite to eat and a drink. Good range of cakes, slices, pies, sandwiches, etc. Service was good as was a little busy when I was there on the weekend. The coffee was good. Plenty chairs and tables around. Well worth a visit.

Stopped in this afternoon. Thought I'd try the recommended Bee Sting with all its custardy goodness. Suited my sweet tooth nicely. Accompanied with a well made flat white coffee (ordered extra hot as always). Lovely! Will definitely come again.

Stayed the weekend during the school holidays and heard about their vanilla slice so it was our first stop. Friends arrived first during the lunch peak and it was chockablock! Waited a good 20 minutes before heading inside. Everything we ordered was so fresh and the vanilla slice was one of the best I’ve had. Friendly service, highly recommended!

I’ve come here a few times now to grab a pie and a dessert. Each time has been consistent and good. The prices are really spot on too. They’re always super friendly and the place is always pumpin’. They also serve lactose free milk which is appreciated!

Went drive through got a small coffee and vanilla slice today, fast friendly service. Coffee was perfect temperature and vanilla slice was fresh and delicious! Definitely stop by if you're in ballarat.

1816 bakehouse is always my pitstop on the way to Melbourne for excellent coffee and a delicious breakfast, Lunch or dinner. I am a huge ham and cheese croissant fan, but wasn’t really loving the addition of mustard. However, they have recently changed the way they are doing the ham and cheese croissants and they are now the best ham and cheese croissants I have ever had!

Went to this cute bakery on our way home to Melbourne from our stay in Ballarat. Highlight was the chicken croissant and the scroll!! Great service too. Make sure you check the parking signs around the area as there was a ticket inspector going around when we were there.

Such a cute bakery. We always go here for food when we are in Ballarat. The staff are very friendly. And the baked foods are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend going here.
