3 Best Bakeries in Cairns QLD

The cheese and mushroom grilled sandwich was extremely tasty. Green curry pie was smooth with a hint of the curry ...the beef sausage roll was filled with a good amount of beef and was very tasty. All the pies, cakes, etc are baked in house and you can taste the difference it makes. Definitely eat here again.

This little bakery is the bomb, my family all had coffees (good) and a variety of cakes and truly they were all delicious and we are somewhat irritating food snobs. This is the kind of place you work hard to find a way to get back to whilst on holiday even though it will be difficult. Really nice job guys.

Best pie in Cairns and incredible latte art. So warm vibe. Added mashed potatoes and pea is even better. Thank you chef and the the amazing barista.

Amazing gem of a place, 3 minute walk from the ticket counter at Freshwater railway station, across the road. Amazing fresh pastries, espresso drinks. Nice little seating area outside with a view of mountains and sugarcane field. Perfect spot for a bite before or after a tour. Also has baguette sandwiches. Only point to note is the awning and umbrellas say ‘Genovese’ and the name of the restaurant is not visible from the road. We just followed our noses. Excellent service also.

We visited cairns for 5 weeks and kept coming back to this small cafè. Everything they have is really good, perfect croissants, great small quiches. I fell in love with their lemon tart and ordered almost it everytime we were there.

As a member of the Meat Pie Appreciation group on Fb. I have been hunting high and low for the best pie and today l found it! My benchmark is a meat pie. Your traditional meat pie was chunky, meat soft and tender, gravy consistency was perfect as l didnt wear it on my lap. Pastry, cooked well and crisp with absolutely no soggy bottom. To the head Baker on Baked on Red Hill. I salute you Sir!

By far the best sausage roll I've ever had!!! I got the Pork, Cheese and Mustard Sausage Roll and it was phenomenal, full of flavour and beautiful pastry. I also got a Danish and it was SO good. The pastry was flaky and sweet and the filling was perfect - not too sweet or dry. This bakery is by far my favourite in Cairns.

Fantastic suburban bakery in Woree. Large range of sourdough bread and lots of savoury and sweet goodies. Pies, croissants, cakes and sandwiches. Also a full range of coffee options. We love the bread, well worth the drive.
