3 Best Cafes in Maitland NSW

Great food and friendly staff. You end up spending a bit more than some of the other cafes in Maitland but it is a nice spot and worth the outing. My only feedback would be that I wasn't sold on the idea of an open steak sandwich, it only made it more difficult to eat by not having both sides with bread. Overall a great place for food and coffee and I'm sure I will be back.

Excellent cafe. Good food, coffee and service. Has a gorgeous courtyard, a deck and air conditioned inside. Yummy cakes too! Located at the Maitland Regional Art Gallery - gets busy so a good idea to book.

Amazing cafe! Stopped in for the best “Big Brekkie” I’ve ever had. Wait time was phenomenal, food came out hot and fresh, lovely staff. Cheers! Kid-friendliness: Small outside courtyard for kids to play and run.

Really great to have brunch here. Coffee’s good and the food is great. I enjoyed the smoked salmon with potato rosti because it’s such a mood booster for a rainy day — there’s salmon so it’s light, poached eggs so it’s filling, it’s got greens so it’s healthy and it’s got that awesome and crunchy potato rosti that makes you feel a bit naughty since it’s like eating gourmet chips for breakfast. Love it here.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This cafe doesn’t look like much from the outside but it is lovely inside with plenty of tables. There is a courtyard out the back which is lovely in the warmer months. Service is outstanding and the food is always top notch. Popular with locals.

Very nice staff very nice food very nice owners and I will go back. It was a very good breakfast. I’m sure that they make good food every day. Coffee was good can’t really say anything other than very good.

First time trying this cafe in Maitland and we were all pretty happy with our experience. The food and coffee were delivered within a decent time frame and there were no complaints about the quality. It was served well and arrived hot and fresh. Staff were attentive and friendly. We sat outside in the back area. This was nice but the area is a little pokey, feels a bit cramped and the pigeons were a little annoying. Otherwise lovely though to have the option of inside or out. There are toilet facilities on-site and parking was easy with a very short walk. I would recommend trying out this delightful cafe and am keen to go back again in the future.

A nice quiet little spot for breakfast or brunch. The coffee and food was really good. If you're sitting outside though the pigeons hang around abit but they have pigeon spray on the table. Cafe is in a convient spot to other shops to browse once your done too. Service was good, a little bit of a wait but that's expected.

We popped in for a late breakfast recently and enjoyed our food. Service was fast and very friendly, although the food took a long time to come out, as did our coffee. Quality was lovely, just disappointing that because we sat at the tables out the front our meals were served in cardboard boxes in paper bags. Overall we enjoyed our food and service, but not sure we will be back.
