“Dr Shane Anderson earned his first university degree at James Cook University in 1995. He is a fellowship-trained otologist and paediatric ENT surgeon in Northern Australia. Dr Shane Anderson is the Director of North Queensland Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. Dr Shane Anderson has published several journal articles on head and neck surgery and otology and has several chapters internationally, including otological textbooks. He has obtained certificates from MedEl, Cochlear Corporation, and Advanced Bionics for the surgical implantation of their cochlear implants.

Dr Altmann was extremely approachable and professional from my initial consultation all the way through to my post surgery check-up. He was informative, and happily answered any questions that I had. I was left feeling very satisfied with the results of my surgery, and well looked after. I'd highly recommend Dr. Altmann to anybody requiring an ENT, you'll be in good hands.

Dr Altmann was so caring and kind with my 11 year old daughter when she had her tonsils and adenoids removed recently. She was very anxious about the surgery, but Dr Altman’s gentle and calm manner put her mind at ease. We were very happy and would highly recommend entrusting Dr Altmann with your child’s ENT needs.

The most wonderful caring specialist, who takes time to listen to patients’ concerns and goes to great lengths to explain operations in more detail than patients probably want to hear. I would strongly recommend Doctor Altmann for any patients or parents considering ear nose and throat surgery for themselves or their children in Townsville.

After 4 years of going from specialist to specialist - Dr Altmann (correctly) diagnosed a perlymth fistula in one ear. He performed an operation which fixed the problem and I returned to a 'normal' . I cannot thank him enough. - CM Reply

Amazing reception staff, super helpful and informative. I was told I wouldnt be able to notice much difference pre and post surgery for up to 4 weeks until inflammation went down but im already breathing 100% better than before and im not even 1 week post op, Dr Wright is definitely worth it.

Dr Wright is an amazing surgeon. Give him a go, you won't regret it.

DR Wright was a great doctor would highly recommend.

We had a concern on a weekend with something and the Surgeon made contact with us and assisted us personally that day in his own time. They proved by their actions that they do put the patient first.
