3 Best Japanese Restaurants in Wodonga, VIC

We drove from Melbourne to Sydney and made a stop in Wodonga for lunch on a cold and rainy day. Seeking warmth, we decided to visit Sushi Frenzy and ordered Ramen and Udon. The flavorful soup noodles provided the much-needed comfort and warmth. After our meal, we continued driving for another three hours until we reached Yass, where we planned to spend the night. However, it was only then that I realized I had left my small shoulder bag at Sushi Frenzy. The bag contained my car key, AirPods, and $500 in cash, and I felt completely helpless. Determined to retrieve it, we made the decision to drive back to Wodonga and try our luck.

Great food! I had udon noodle soup and sushi the other night when it was freezing cold. They are the best sushi I have ever had in Australia. The staff and boss were nice and friendly.

Have been a regular customer for the past 10 months or so, and always enjoy the food here. I usually order one of their platters once a week to feed the family and give myself a night off cooking. Also love their teppanyaki beef rice bowl when I have a chance to stop for a warm lunch.

We always went to the Albury one previously, so wanted to try the new Wodonga one too. We booked for dinner on a Sunday and really enjoyed ourselves. Love that we don't have to try to find parking, the service and food was amazing and the ambience of the restaurant is lovely. Loved the QR code ordering for all you can eat so we didn't have to wait for a staff member to order more when we wanted to. Really enjoyed our experience. Thank you so much.

As a frequent customer of the Albury Restaurant we were looking forward to trying out the new restaurant in Wodonga. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly if slightly slow but they will get better as they learn I’m sure. 100% we will be back.

We arrived for dinner on a Saturday night at 6:30 and the place was packed! Lucky we’d made a reservation! Despite being completely run off their feet the staff were very attentive and food arrived in good time. We couldn’t fault the food, drinks (the Yuzu Sake is particularly delicious!) service and atmosphere even if I tried.

This place has the most delicious food in the area. The sushi sandwich is a decent size and the flavour palette on it is to die for, both the teriyaki salmon and tuna avocado rolls are exquisite, and the hot food is just spectacularly amazing. We will be going here as often as possible when we need a bite to eat

Very nice beef and blackbean and noodles definitely worth a lunch stop.

They are located inside the Wodonga Plaza Shopping Centre and just opposite to Target.
