WALSH MEMORIAL PARK
Since 1994
Here’s The Deal:
Walsh Memorial Park in Bomaderry hosts several memorials, with a notable one featuring three substantial rough-hewn silver-grey Moruya granite blocks grouped together. These blocks symbolize the diverse mountain campaigns conducted by the Army and Air Force, as well as the challenging naval missions in rough seas. Commemorating the service of personnel across various campaigns, this monument stands on a sandstone forecourt, reminiscent of desert engagements. The garden's evergreen trees symbolically represent jungle campaigns. Flanking the memorial are walls of remembrance on either side. Reconstructed in 1994, the site was rededicated on November 11, 1994.
