“Maitland Court House was built in the design of Government Architect Walter Liberty Vernon. The courthouse has continued functioning as a courthouse, with regular court sessions. The building has many rooms, including an office and a waiting room. A famous landmark in the district is the clock tower mounted on the roof above the courtyard space. The courthouse is an impressive building designed during the transition of the Victorian and Federation periods. The courthouse was intended as a joint courthouse and police station. The Maitland Court House is an impressive structure that showcases the transition between the Victorian and Federation periods.”

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The online booking system to request books is brilliant, very quick turn around on orders and no costs involved. The after hours return chute located in the carpark is very convenient. I have used the colour printer onsite too, just required to load payment onto your library card to activate.

I needed to print off a discount voucher but have no access to a printer. Popped into Maitland Library for the first time in maybe 3-4years, bo library card... no problem. Greg was very helpful setting me up with a new account, explained all the cool & up to date services the library offers & we came away not only with our vouchers but also a Tote bag each full of brochures, pens & Treena got some seeds from the Seed Library.

Extremely helpful staff, welcoming environment, a perfect place for toddlers to be at, they also alter their toys and puzzles regularly, just amazing! we love going there!

BROUGH HOUSE REVIEWS

Excellent museum with beautiful professional displays of the Maitland history. Combined with the textiles and clothing displays, this museum was a stunning way to spend a morning Staff were magnificent and so knowledgeable.

What a lovely space & collection. Showcasing the often hidden or forgotten works by women in the home as well as some beautiful works by local artists.

Weaving and spinning with Barbara Osmond. An amazing lady and great teacher.

It's nice to be able to sit back and relax here while enjoying the gentle breeze. while enjoying coffee and watching the vehicles pass by.

It is architecture location, amazing building and events. Great architecture. nice place to visit.
