The building has four hire event rooms, fully equipped for the needs of historical events. The hall is over 100 years old and is listed as a heritage building, with a seating capacity of 120 guests and up to 200 guests for a cocktail-style event. Kitchen facilities are available on site.

Maitland Court House was built in 1986 to the designs of Government Architect Walter Liberty Vernon. It has continued to function as a courthouse, with regular court sessions. The building has many rooms, including an office and a waiting room. A famous landmark in the district is the clock tower which is mounted on the roof above the courtyard space. The Court House is an impressive building designed during the transition of Victorian and Federation periods. It was designed as the joint courthouse and a police station.
