Maitland Gaol is a heritage-listed former Australian prison. It has a vibrant history spanning more than 150 years. It provides experiences for individuals, groups and schools that are tailored to both children and adults. The ex-warder will lead the guided tour. Maitland Gaol has large, and there are many buildings for you to explore. The visitors will also be provided with a map of the site as part of the registration, which will help you plan your way through the self-guided tour. Maitland Gaol provides three self-guided audio tours that are available seven days a week. It also has a range of activities to keep the children active throughout the tour. The activities are available, as well as special pricing and packages implemented, especially for holiday periods.

Maitland Regional Art Gallery is one of the largest regional galleries in New South Wales. It is committed to providing the general public with the finest arts and cultural opportunities encapsulated in a single building. The site and its buildings in the Maitland Regional Art Gallery have a fascinating history. The art gallery features the complex consists of three complementary sections. It is now an interactive space for workshops, exhibitions and other activities for children and young people. In 2009 it was renovated. The new building includes extensive contemporary gallery space for both visitor collections and permanent exhibitions. The central areas show a fascinating interaction between historic and contemporary architecture. General admission to Maitland Regional Art Gallery is free.

The museum's mission is to collect, preserve and interpret the history of Morpeth and the district for future generations. The exhibitions of the museum range from early and family history to specific industries and modern perspectives. Exhibitions are still evolving as new and fascinating historical elements are found or restored.
