“Orange railway station is a heritage-listed former railway station and bridge. The station was constructed between 1877 and 1950 and is also referred to as the Orange Railway Station and Yard Group. The station serves the city of Orange and opened on 19 April 1877, when the railway line was extended from Blayney. The Railway Station remained the terminus of the line until it was further extended to Wellington. In 1874, a contract was awarded for the construction of the railway line from Bathurst to Orange. In 1876, another contract was made for the construction of a combined station and residence building, along with a goods shed and station verandah at Orange. The design for the new station building/residence was finalized in 1876, and the building was completed the following year, officially opening on 19 April 1877.”

ORANGE CITY LIBRARY REVIEWS

Orange city library is is an amazing public resource, located in the central business precinct of the city yet still in a quiet and soothing location, staffed with friendly and helpful people. Let's hope that public facilities such as this are never losted and remained fully and fairly funded by the authorities, now and into the future.

It's a library!! lovely helpful staff, nicely renovated, relaxed space, with occasionally a little bit of noise due to their fantastic groups they run. Very family friendly and accessible.

A great library. Bigger than I expected, with friendly staff, a big collection and great facilities including computers and WiFi access.

ORANGE RAILWAY STATION REVIEWS

Went to visit the archieture of the station. Very nice architecture nicer than new sydney suburban stations. Staff memebr was knowledgable and taught me about the servcies and history of the station

A comfortable place to facilitate a journey; start, end, or to change between train and bus. Clean toilets, warm waiting room, and phone charging facilities. It isn't far from shops and places to eat.

Great staff, super helpful. Wheelchair accessible.
