“Cook Park spans over 4.5 hectares of parkland. The park is laid out in a traditional Victorian design with straight paths and rows of trees. The self-guided heritage trail is very popular, with brochures at the Guildry or Orange Visitor Information Centre. The park provides a wide range of unique handcrafted goods, including knitting, woodwork, homemade jams, pottery, and freshly baked goods. Cook Park has fitness equipment and conducive indoor and outdoor areas. The park has picnic tables and toilet facilities. Dogs are allowed in the park but must be on leashes. Cook Park is open every day of the year.

2025 Update: Cook Park was designed and built by Alfred Patterson. The park's main entrance is from the corner of Summer Street and Clinton Street.”

“Elephant Park is a picturesque family destination that provides gently paved trails for strolling or walking along the banks of the creek and admiring the waterfowl and the scenery. The park has excellent playground equipment in Orange City. Elephant Park provides kids' play areas, fitness equipment, and drinking fountains. The park has scenic family parks with a playground, cycleways, barbecue, and plenty of open space. A large park area features a grid of tree plantings, creating a beautiful display of colours throughout all four seasons. There are plenty of old shelter trees, well-maintained tracks, fun for the pooch in the creek, lots of exercise equipment, BBQ facilities and a kids' playground. The park has restroom facilities.”

COOK PARK REVIEWS

I used Cook Park as the background for a cake smash and it went fantastic. The grounds are beautiful - even in winter. The grass is green, the flowers are bright. There is a playground for the older child to play on while the baby had his photos taken, and the birds in the aviary were fantastic, both kids were obsessed. There are an abundance of picnic tables, so there's never a shortage of places to sit and enjoy the scenery, and there is parking along all sides of the block so parking is a breeze.

This is a historical park here in Orange and is a must visit. I will be returning many times as the park and its beauty changes daily. There is so much wonder and history to enjoy and be amazed by . Orange is known for its seasons, and this park is a fabulous place to partake and enjoy nature in all its glory. Add this to your daily walks or at least a weekly visit as this garden awakes from its winter slumber.

I used to live in Orange 35 years ago. It was lovely coming back to cook park, and seeing it so well looked after. Better than when I was there!!! Gorgeous Begonia greenhouse as well with original headlight glass top. So lovely.

ROBERTSON PARK REVIEWS

Lovely park with some gorgeous cherry blossoms in the spring time. There are some great pubs in this vicinity. Check out the Conobolas Hotel and the Park View Hotel for some great food and drink.

obertson Park is a beautiful park in Orange NSW. It contains big trees, Oranges war memorial cenotaph as well as CWA hall, a rotunda and fountain. This photo shows ANZAC Day ceremony on April.

One of the best parks in New South Wales I have to say that I have visited.

Excellent park within Orange town with good playground equipment. This is the kids’ favourite park in Orange. Well shaded with trees around. Beautiful mature trees, great for photos. There are mossies around though, so bring some repellent.

A lovely place with picnic areas, playground, restrooms. BBQs were not working when we came. We took lots of photos with mapple trees.

I love to drop by in this park to relax, feel the nature and sometimes do my exercise with the equipments. If you’re a nature-lover person, you would love this place.
