Cook Park spans over 4.5 hectares of parkland. The park is laid out in a traditional Victorian design with straight paths and rows of trees. The self-guided heritage trail is very popular, with brochures at the Guildry or Orange Visitor Information Centre. The park provides a wide range of unique handcrafted goods, including knitting, woodwork, homemade jams, pottery, and freshly baked goods. Cook Park has fitness equipment and conducive indoor and outdoor areas. The park has picnic tables and toilet facilities. Dogs are allowed in the park but must be on leashes. Cook Park is open every day of the year.

2025 Update: Cook Park was designed and built by Alfred Patterson. The park's main entrance is from the corner of Summer Street and Clinton Street.

A large park area features a grid of tree plantings, creating a beautiful display of colours throughout all four seasons.
