Orange Botanic Gardens is a natural, undulating 17-hectare site with an impressive native and exotic plant collection. The Gardens officially opened in 1988 for the Australian Bicentenary, with plantings ranging from native and exotic trees to newly developed displays. Orange Botanic Gardens are ideal for relaxing and enjoying the incredible scenery and district views. As well as being a perfect location for bird watching, the Gardens offer opportunities for family picnics and relaxing strolls. In addition, these gardens exhibit the magnificent splendour of the four seasons of Orange. Playground and BBQ facilities are available nearby at the Orange Adventure Playground. Admission to the Orange Botanic Gardens is free.

2025 Update: Orange Botanic Gardens provides off-street car parking, and dogs are permitted on leads only. Orange Botanic Gardens have 76 apple varieties, 25 crab-apples and some pears.

Orange Regional Gallery is a contemporary space containing three galleries of Australian artists' paintings, portraits, and sculptures. Its origins go back to the establishment of the Orange Arts Festival in the late 1960s, which brought two-year visual arts events to the Central West. The building of the Orange Civic Theatre in 1976 created space for a small exhibition in the foyer. Orange Regional Gallery supports artists in developing new and creative works and enabling the audiences to have a positive interaction with the art they create. In addition to the exhibition and education services, it also takes care of a well-established collection of modern and contemporary art from Australia and abroad. It displays how different artists portray the land in orange.
