SUNSHINE CASTLE REVIEWS
We didn't realise the place was undergoing maintenance before we arrived, but we still had a super time! We played the treasure hunt game, got to see some awesome doll set-ups and learn a thing or two about medieval times. Their toy/gift shop is also incredibly extensive, with tons of European branded toys. The staff are also super friendly and helpful, I recommend visiting this place.
Unfortunately there are some sections closed off but that did not stop us enjoying our visit. We did the treasure hunt, explored all the displays then enjoyed some refreshments in the cafe. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Caloundra Lighthouses constitute a heritage-listed pair of lighthouses located at 3 Canberra Terrace. The original lighthouse, dating back to 1896 and designed by the Queensland Marine Department with drawings endorsed by E A Cullen, engineer, stands as an innovative Queensland construction. This lighthouse was vital in Queensland's coastal navigation aid system from the 1890s to the 1970s. In 1968, a signal station, light, and radar installation replaced the original structure, leading to its relocation to Golden Beach. However, in 1999, the old lighthouse was returned to its initial site after the new one ceased operation. Caloundra Lighthouses are a prominent town symbol, encompassing its oldest surviving structure. These lighthouses, now utilized for educational and cultural tourism purposes, offer a tangible connection to the history of lighthouses spanning both ends of the time scale.

CALOUNDRA LIGHTHOUSES REVIEWS
Great wee piece of history. $2 to go up the top. It was open only the 2nd and 4th weekend of each month it said from memory I believe, as it's managed kindly by volunteers. It's closed during covid. I feel like its a great piece of history and worth a short amount or time to see and appreciate it for what it is.
These lighthouses once dominated the high ground but are now surrounded by multilevel developments. Friends of Caloundra Lighthouse volunteer group arrange regular open days for both the new and old lighthouses. They have also amassed a huge amount of locale photographic and memorabilia from Caloundra and surrounds. A true example of local Sunshine Coast history, check the web page for tour times.
Lovely lighthouse! Check website for opening times ! Great view ! Wonderful adventures for young children as it’s not to high !

BIG PINEAPPLE REVIEWS
This place is an absolute Icon Still looking good after all these years The general appeal and purpose of the venue has changed over the years and is holding strong. With a great Zoo, Treetops challenge, beautiful grounds. Check website to see what's available these days!
It might be just a big pineapple, but it’s one of those iconic “big things” dotted around Australia. Up close it is actually very detailed (unlike some of the other “big things”) and make a great photo. If you’re passing by then it’s definitely worth stopping for a photo. And it’s only 10 min from the Sunshine Coast airport.
Didn't actually visit the Big Pineapple. Went next door to the zoo, HQ Wildlife. We visited it twice to feed and have photos taken with the Meerkats and Koala living there. Lovely experience. It makes you appreciate the Animal Kingdom with some fantastic and cute animals housed there. Go, the whole family will enjoy it. My wife loved it.
