Tickle Park is an excellent picnic spot in the centre of Coolum and on the beach. There are many places for kids to play, swim in the ocean, and enjoy fish and chips. The park has a large open grassy area for kicking and throwing activities, and is excellent for events. Tickle Park has many common facilities, including public bathrooms and showers. The park is perfect for an area where you can spend the afternoon, have family barbecues, or have Sunday sessions. The park hosts various events throughout the year, like Australia Day, skateboarding events, and music. Entry to Tickle Park is free. The park has ample parking nearby and is across from the main shopping precinct.

Maroochydore Rotary Park is an excellent destination for families and kids. The park is well-sized and has open grassy areas shaded by trees, barbeques, and covered picnic tables that provide plenty of space to celebrate birthdays or special occasions. Maroochydore Rotary Park features a beautiful structure that kids love climbing around and using their imagination to play pirates. There are two playgrounds for the kids, with various play equipment suitable for children of all ages. Events are sometimes hosted at the big grassy field closer to the pool. Maroochydore Rotary Park offers parking on the street, but more spots are available on the side streets.

Grahame Stewart Park is an ideal place for a picnic. The park has double slides, buckets, pulleys and sieves, climbing frames, train play equipment, and ample green space for ball games, including a cricket pitch and barbecues. The all-abilities play space is fully fenced and is now home to the region’s first Changing Places public amenities block. There are a lot of beautiful surf beaches, calm-water walking trails, and an excellent playground. Grahame Stewart Park has obstacles to play, shelter sheds with picnic tables and a partially shaded playground. Grahame Stewart Park has ample parking areas. Dogs are permitted off-leash outside the fenced playground only at times indicated on signs.
