“Bonegilla Migrant Experience in the years following World War II, when millions of people seeking a new start and peace departed for Australia. The attraction became the longest and largest operating reception centre in the post-war era. The attraction has more than 300,000 migrants passing through its doors between 1947 and 1971, most of whom originated from non-English speaking European countries. “La Trobe University Library holds the most significant proportion of the total physical collection and delivers centralised services for all campus libraries. The Library's scholarly information resources are available in digital form. HYPHEN WODONGA LIBRARY GALLERY REVIEWS

What an amazing asset for the community! This stunning 21st century building is equipped with everything you need. A wonderful library downstairs and Art gallery upstairs. This rivals the best public spaces I've seen in Sydney and Melbourne. Dare I say it is the best library in regional NSW/VIC? Go and see for yourself.

Magnificent! Very modern, cosy and has clean facilities-- toilets, small kitchen with hot water & fridge, meeting rooms & lifts. They have accessories (earrings, stationery, vases, etc.) for sale apart from having free access to books & dvds. They have galleries and a very spacious terrace with tables & artistic displays where you can read books, have coffee or eat your packed lunch/take-away food.

Nice place for a quick visit, the reception lady is so nice. The gallery is upstairs, good to open this yellow door and find out what tools they are hanging above.

Highly recommend taking the guided tour. So informative and the host was so passionate telling stories from people who had lived there and returned to explore their memories. Very emotional journey for those revisiting. Definitely gives you an appreciation for the new Australians that came such a long way to start their new lives.

Awesome place to visit. Lovely staff, a very interesting place. They have plenty of shaded areas to sit. They even have a little snack and very cold drink area. They also have a wonderful couple of rooms where you can stick your thoughts about your visit. Very well worth the trip.

Definitely worth a visit. I spent several hours wandering around the camp seeing how the post WW2 migrants lived. Very informative and an interesting experience.

Enjoy the walk through the grounds and especially able yo get a very impressive coffee and biscuit, but that's not all a takeaway dinner from Moka from the divine cook Tiffany the selection of meals have the wow factor!

It's a really nice campus library, with good facilities and group study rooms. It's just a really nice place to be when you need to study.

Friendly staff who assisted with queries well. Fantastic facilities and supportive staff.
