“Dr Janak Mehta completed his initial medical training 1989 at Bombay University, India. He then underwent training as an Orthopaedic Surgeon and gained a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2005. Dr Mehta worked at the Royal Darwin Hospital as a Consultant Surgeon in the Orthopaedic & Trauma department for many years. He has also taught through Flinders University in the Northern Territory and has participated in mentoring Junior doctors and surgeons in the Darwin area. Dr Mehta’s area of clinical expertise is in orthopaedic surgery, including joint replacement, reconstruction and arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee joints.
