3 Best Parks in Adelaide SA

The Adelaide Botanic Garden is a 51-hectare public garden at the north-east corner of the Adelaide city centre, in the Adelaide Park Lands. It encompasses a fenced garden on North Terrace and behind it the Botanic Park. Work was begun on the site in 1855, with its official opening to the public on 4 October 1857.

Beautiful flowers, and roses also lavenders. You can appreciate the effort and the scenery of this place, has a forest and wetlands area. It's good to have a stroll and walk around or under the big trees to feel it's cooling effect.

I spent over 3 hours exploring these gardens and I didn’t want to leave! Wear comfy walking shoes, hat & sunscreen. Bring a water bottle! Toilet facilities are decent. Beautiful spot for weddings or other functions.

Rymill Park /Murlawirrapurka is an unbelievable park right in the heart of the city. Located within the main "square" of Adelaide, it offers a pleasant green and fresh area for you to bring your children and pets for a picnic or a day out. There are many options of public toilet, water stations and bbq areas. I really suggest a visit during Autumn or spring, when the temperature are pleasant and you can see a huge amount of colors.

Discover the tranquility of Rand Mill Park, nestled on the east side of Adelaide City near East Terrace. This Rymill park offers a perfect escape with its charming stream, inviting green spaces, and walking distance proximity to vibrant city restaurants. A must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of Adelaide.

This park is incredibly beautiful. Occasionally, it can have a bit of an unpleasant smell, but when the lake is brimming with water, it's a spectacular sight. I'd recommend it as a great place to read to all my friends, and I've used it as a meeting spot for many picnics.

Elder Park brings back excellent memories of lovely evening and early morning walks. The river Torrens, Adelaide festival arts centre, Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Casino, Adelaide Convention Centre, and North Terrace with museum and arts centre, are all within conveniently close distance. I am not sure if the Popeye ferry still runs up and down the Torrens ricer, but that also used to be part of this lovely part of Australia.

It's just a nice place to relax, you can sit in the little shelter when it rains. If you're lucky, you might even find some wildlife approaching you, its really endearing, the animals are fantastic, believe me. A black goose approached me and let me get real close to it. Really a once in a lifetime experience, though i haven't been to any festivals, i can see that they're really fun.

I come here pretty often but most recently for the lucky dumpling festival. Such a massive park for nature and environment . Great view of the river and it’s an amazing place to have a picnic. Amazing for New Year’s Eve fireworks as well. Great place to take kids to for fun or for a date. Good place to have a walk.
