3 Best Places To Visit in Adelaide SA

Thanks to Adelaide Zoo for an unforgettable family day out! We took the train and bus to get there, and the kids loved their first public transport adventure. The zoo itself was fantastic, with a great variety of animals and a beautiful layout. The highlight was the Zoo-baru car for kids, which had them beaming with excitement! The cafe inside the zoo was a pleasant surprise, with hot food and friendly service. The staff's smiles and enthusiasm added to the overall experience. We had a wonderful time watching the animals and making memories with the kids. Adelaide Zoo, you've won our hearts! We'll be back for more wildlife adventures.

Adelaide Zoo is beautiful with a blend of historical buildings and thoughtfully designed animal enclosures. All staff we spoke to were friendly and passionate. Sue who was volunteering on a Saturday gave great info into what exhibits are on the way, as well as knowing animals names and ages. The animal shows were intimate and educational. Next time we will be organising to feed the giraffes. 10/10.

Great place to visit to explore. Lots of interesting animals. Because it was not too hot, all the animals were out and interactive. They have a great lion feeding show. Price was relatively inexpensive.

We visited during the Chihuly exhibit so that definitely was our main focus. I know that won’t be available at all times, but definitely worth the trip. Outside of that, the Garden is meticulously maintained with well-labeled trees and other plants. It is home to tons of different animals, mostly birds, and it was quite an enjoyable experience. For my shade lovers, there were plenty of benches in the shade to sit and take a break. Would visit often.

A superb garden. A fabulous collection of plants in a beautifully sprawling setting with wonderful buildings , fountains and pathways. There is the most mind blowing exhibition of works throughout the garden and on some of the buildings. This is free throughout the gardens and ticketed in the buildings and at night they are illuminated.

We absolutely loved the Dale Chihuly glass sculptures. The grounds / plants etc and lakes/ponds were also picturesque. Plenty parking, flat walking and great for all ages.

Museums are always wonderful places and this one had some excellent displays. A very impressive Pacific and Islander display including Indigenous Australian section. Antarctic display was superb featuring Mawson. Kids will love the wild animals display. Ancient Egypt artifacts were fascinating as well. The collection of rocks and minerals were a highlight.

An incredible place to go. It has fantastic stones, fossils, animals and indigenous artefacts, but it’s free! I’ve learned a lot about the Australia history, nature science, ocean, etc. It’s suitable for both adults and children - they won’t feel boring as the display is attractive. It took me more than two hours to check all areas. Actually, it was a bit rush, so I recommend to plan half day.

Wow! We visited the National Geographic Photography Awards and then went on to enjoy the museum. What a brilliant treat as visitors to SA and Adelaide. Great for all ages.
