3 Best Parks in Coffs Harbour NSW

If you enjoy coastal walking, access to beaches and rainforest, and plenty of solitary time then this park is worth checking out. My first walk was from the north into Bongil Bongil picnic area. Easy wide trail - went back later for lunch. Picnic area is beautiful and right on the creek- had the place to ourselves. Next morning I did the Bongil Beach walk, again had the place to myself. Beach was really cool. Very easy grade too. Tied it in with the Bluff Loop, but if you have to make a choice, I’d do the rainforest to beach. It says 3 hrs return but we took it easy and it was still under 2 hrs. Allow time at the beach. Would like to come back. Looks like there are more walking options.

The Bundagaree Rainforest Walk is the best of both worlds; you are immersed in the bush but can constantly hear the crashing of the waves on the beach nearby. It is an easy and pleasant walk, that doesn't present too much challenge but will still get your heart rate up a bit. Finishing on a pristine beach amongst the rock formations and pools is a pretty spectacular way to end the walk. Definitely one of my happy places in Coffs.

Great shady bush trail. Wide and clear, easy to navigate and not get lost or trip over. Sunscreen recommended and mosquito repelent a must! Easy to get to beach in some areas and hard in others.

A great place for children and carers of all ages, with plenty of shade and toilets a few metres away (the new type where the doors open straight to the outside so you can send older children and still see them safely while in the playground). There is a childproof fence on the two roadside boundaries and on our most recent visit (late July '18) we discovered some chalk boards at varying heights have been incorporated into the equipment - what a great idea!

It is a very nice park that is suitable for many ages. There are bathrooms nearby and also a water fountain. It's an opened layout allowing plenty of space for the kids to run around. The equipment is relatively well maintained, a very small amount of vandalism, unfortunately. Highly recommend if you need a place to burn off some steam for the kids.

Big skate park on one side, great adventure playground on the other. You can always get a park space, the playground is good for kids from crawling to 8 or 9 ( sandpit, big tunnel slide, tilted roundabout, net swing etc). There's now even a guy selling coffee just outside the playground.

What a beautiful place to rest. As I said to an elderly long term local "you'd never get tired of this view", he agreed. What is tyring though is the amount of rubbish thrown around the Sawtell Headland by blow ins. Scrambling through the old growth sand dune bushland, I've found and removed,rotting tents, sleeping bags bottles, cans, plastic....the list is endless. It's connected via a wildlife corridor to Bongil Bongil National Park so it realistically is National Park land. So simply take your rubbish with you, so the locals and wildlife can wander around and enjoy where they live.

It's a perfect day for a walk this is the place you want to go if visiting for the weekend this site is a must it's close to everything and the locals are always smiling and the view is beautiful and good fishing spots for the whole family.

Stunning park and beach. Beautiful part of the world. You can float along the lazy river here for quite a while. Very relaxed setting with some benches to picnic. Can't really complain! Worth a visit.
