“Roundhouse Park is a sandy beach park and picnic area with open space to improve visitors' physical health. The park has a large lawn ideal for outdoor picnics and lawn bowling. The park is an excellent spot for events and outdoor entertainment. Roundhouse Park is a beautiful place to enjoy a bite while enjoying the scenery. The park has outdoor fitness equipment. Most mature trees in Roundhouse Park will be retained in the Waterfront Park project. The new trees will generally be advanced, ranging from three to six metres in height, depending on the species, when planted. Roundhouse Park and Mussel Rock include a nature playground, BBQ shelter with picnic tables and amenities, riverfront walk, and a rotunda. The public can use the rotunda for both informal and formal purposes.”

“Pioneer Park is 1.7 hectares of public open space. The park is clean and well-maintained and provides a healthy and pleasant place for picnics, hiking, and sports activities. There are plenty of unique amenities and facilities, such as an all-natural playground for the kids and sports fields. Pioneer Park has ample parking areas. Two known cemeteries were originally established in Pioneer Park that are the Church of England Cemetery, known as Torquay-God’s Acre, and the Wesleyan Cemetery located along Wright Street. Pioneer Park is also excellent for celebrating a birthday or family gathering. This park has everything you could want for a day out with loved ones, such as toilets, swings, tables, undercover areas, new grassland, and plenty of places to sit.”

“Bluff Playgrounds is designed as an engaging and active area with events for all ages. This playground is one of the best relaxing picnic spots for kids and families. Bluff Playgrounds is for the family and kids to have fun and enjoy a day. Bluff Playgrounds features several family-friendly attractions for children and their parents to enjoy. The park has a variety of picturesque fields. Bluff Playgrounds has lots of parking areas. The playground has a small children's toilet right next to the equipment. Additional toilets, showers, and change rooms are also located nearby. The beach is nearby, and so are a cafe and restaurant. There's also a shaded area for picnics.”

ROUNDHOUSE PARK REVIEWS

Beautiful place to view the Spirit of Tasmania leaving. There is a cool climbing playground for the kids and toilets nearby. The light show of an evening is pretty cool to stop by and watch. It runs every half hour and goes for 15 mins. Best seen once dark. Playground: Awesome wooden climbing frame.

Lovely addition to Devonport foreshore. Nice display, great fir little kids to dance wild in the centre with music and lights. Impressive light and sound show, and its free so no excuse to miss it. Every night just after dusk apparently. A skip and a jump from car parking.

Great place for a walk, park, sit and relax before shopping, in between work or just to chill.

PIONEER PARK REVIEWS

What a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or family gathering . This park has everything you could want with a day out with loved ones toilets swings tables under cover new grassland plenty places to sit . It has a skate park and a real road in the park with traffic lights stop signs act and somewhere to fill up you child's bike with a look a like petrol bouser, keep your eye on this park for local celebration times at Christmas.

Nice playground. Stopped killing time before dinner and boarding the Spirit to let tge kids blow off some steam. Well maintained park with a huge newish looking play equipment.

Well maintained park. Equipment for both adults and children. Quiet location. Plenty of parking space. Well maintained toilet facilities.

BLUFF PLAYGROUND REVIEWS

Awesome playground for kids. There two areas, one for the babies (up to 3) and another area for the older kids (2-10). The beach is nearby and so is cafe and restaurant. There's also a shaded area for picnics. Toilet is also close by. Ample car space. The light house is 15mins walk.

Great spot for kids. Lots of options to play on. Relaxing for adults too with the ocean view and coffee van and takeaway cafe St Surf Club next door. Toilets and outdoor shower to wash sand off if they go for a dip too. Plenty of parking space.

Wonderful playground for kids of all ages. We went with 5 kids aged 4-13 and everyone was happy. Skatepark is ace and the walk up to the lighthouse is short and spectacular. Easy parking, toilets, park benches, water fountain. Beach access. Perfect!
