“Thirlstane Golf Club is a course designed by Australian amateur golfing great Peter Toogood. The four holes and a 144-meter par-3 that features a green situated between two lakes. The 6th tee at Thirlstane is sure to add a splash to what is described as a very picturesque and well-maintained golf course. The Thirlstane Golf Club is not a public course, but they do welcome visitors and green fee players provided they observe the rules of golf, exercise golfing etiquette, and treat the course and everyone on it with respect. The Clubhouse has excellent kitchen and bar facilities and is available for hire for special functions, dinners, meetings, or other events. Seated dining for up to 100 people can be accommodated.

“Ulverstone Golf Course is a 13 residents who attended the meeting, all agreed to join the Club, paying an annual subscription of five shillings for gentlemen, and two shillings and sixpence for ladies. The Council had agreed to lease the showgrounds of the time (now Fairway Park) at a rental of two pounds per annum. The Pro Shop believes that every golfer, from beginner to pro, deserves the best gear to improve their game. Their expert staff is passionate about golf and committed to providing personalised service and advice. In addition, Ulverstone Golf Course also provides Dining and functions like corporate Functions and Weddings.”

DEVONPORT COUNTRY CLUB REVIEWS

We stayed a night at the camping ground. Beautiful clean place w a clean toilet. There is a water outlet too. The Ranger comes around twice a day to check on the camping ground n to collect the $10 camping fees.

Great place. The golf course looks fantastic as does the indoor bowls area. We went there for a meal only - the Sports bar is great overlooking the indoor bowls rinks, terrific venue, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Great facility. Hosted THE B.N.W. LADIES SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS for us. Great meal each day and couldn't have been more helpful. Thankyou all.Pauline and Gloria Ladies BNW Ladies Match Committee

THIRLSTANE GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

The fairways and greens were in excellent condition, a real credit to the staff and the volunteers who maintain the course. The 9 hole layout is long and challenging for all levels of players. As social golfers we thoroughly enjoyed the round. Very well priced as well.

The cleanest and best setup golf course, very well looked after, 15 bucks for nine holes is pretty good, and a nice cold beer afterwards.

Beautiful course! However I'm not sure why they have a bunker in a deep freeze so close to the club house.

My wife and I played in the Competition yesterday. Really enjoyed the course. All the members were very welcoming. Plus we camped at course. Well done Ulverstone members. Special thanks to Dean and Joel Sharman our playing partners.

Played in the club competition on Saturday $10 green fee, $10 comp fee and $10 buggy hire. Local members were great to play with, and the course was fantastic. Sensational value, I will be back.

Great spot to park our caravan for a few day. The course looks lovely, but didn't play. The area is just a nice relaxing spot to kickback and chill.
