Symbio Wildlife Park is nestled on 16 picturesque acres of manicured gardens. Symbio began in 1975 as a small wildlife park and has now grown to become a multi-award winning and internationally publicised zoo, famous for getting its tourists closer than ever before to amazing animals. Symbio Wildlife Park is home to all your Australian animal favourites and an extensive range of amazing exotic animals, including cheetahs, ring-tailed lemurs, red pandas, meerkats, small primates and many more. Guests to Symbio can get close and personal with all the Australian animal favourites, such as cuddling up to a koala. Facilities at the park include underground shelters, picnic areas, a large playground with large shady trees surrounding it, a Splash Park to cool down in the hot summer months, and a kiosk that sells hot food, snacks, refreshments, ice creams and essentials like sunscreen.

Wollongong Botanic Garden has various collections or groups of plants to explore in Wollongong. Each pack includes similar plants or that would naturally live together in the 'real' world. Wollongong Botanic Garden features themed areas, including a rose garden, herb garden, woodland garden, and exotic rainforest. A creek runs to the garden's core and into a small lake. This creek connects Para Creek and runs into Puckeys Estate Reserve. The azalea and succulent garden are local attractions, and many tourists are seen taking pictures of the flowers. The most convenient entry for wheelchair and pram access is located on Murphy's Avenue. Accessible parking spaces are available nearby, along with accessible toilets and a baby change table.

Science Space opened in 1989 as the 'Science Centre and Planetarium' in Wollongong. They are the only dedicated science experience in New South Wales. So anyone, young and old, can see how science and technology discoveries have become a reality. Science Space is founded upon educational principles, hands-on learning, and accessibility. Existing to advocate the value of science and technology and to increase general science literacy, they house over 90 interactive exhibits, science shows, workshops, and New South Wales's most digitally advanced Planetarium. They strive to keep up to date with the latest achievements and research in all realms of science, technology, mathematics and engineering (STEM).
