The box is my new favourite place to go for special lunches, elongated afternoons, and fine dining. Saturday was a magnificent day. They had the windows all opened in a sophisticated way. The food was scrumptious every detail was perfect. Importantly, the kind man who was serving us, was consistent and friendly and approachable And was able to anticipate my needs. I’m very happy about that. Thank you for a memorable day I’m sure we will be back.

Exciting atmosphere on Australia Day at Ettalong. Friendly and helpful service from the Box. For first timers like us did, the restaurant is NOT at the street front (that's the cafe), but walk around to the back of said cafe and it is water fronted. Love the menu and how the food were prepared and presented. Those cured olives from Entree side were irresistible. They're plenty of street parking available.

Beautiful views lovely chilled wine and fabulous food. Our server was very attentive and the food was really delicious It's so wonderful how this whole are has changed over the past decade. What an absolutely beautiful place to go. After lunch you can have a little walk on the beach or just sit and watch the boats go by. Views all the way down to lion island and beyond.

This restaurant was an absolute delight to dine at. Every aspect of our dining experience here, we can only highly recommend. The Owner & the Chefs at the 'Cowrie', are great people who gave the feeling of friends, along with & as well as demonstrating their 100% qualities in supply us with this Dining experience. Each staff member also gave the feeling of being our friends along with their Top Quality Service. We will definitely return to Dine at the "Cowrie". Thanks to the Manager/Owner & Staff, for an Amazing dining experience..

We had the most amazing experience today and absolutely exceeded our expectations. The view was incredible, the atmosphere was peaceful and the staff were attentive but discreet. The food was incredible with a very impressive vegetarian menu. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and definitely 5 stars. We will certainly be returning!

A really fantastic experience dining at the Cowrie for the first time. We had the best seats by the balcony window and can honestly say we enjoyed every dish plus the extra hot and cold drinks and fresh bread provided. A lovely gift was provided for a birthday which was very sweet. Look forward to coming back again.

Absolutely outstanding! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The food was phenomenal, every dish was a work of art, both visually and in flavour. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate. This place is a true gem. We’ll definitely be coming back soon, and bringing friends

We had lunch there today with the family. The falafel was amazing – it had a really unique and delicious flavor. We also tried the burger and schnitzel, and both were great. The staff were polite and super friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

Great value in a more upmarket setting. Been here twice and both times the food has been tasty and beautifully presented. You won't leave hungry
