3 Best Bike Shops in Melbourne, VIC

I have been a customer of Ivanhoe Cycles for a couple of years now and have been hugely impressed by both the in-store experience and the quality of their products. My initial purchase was a couple of BYK kids bikes which have gone really well. I recently brought one of them to the workshop regarding a minor mechanical issue which was quickly diagnosed and repaired by Michael in the workshop. I have also purchased an adult bike and received really useful guidance and assistance from the sales person, sorry I didn't make a note of his name. I am very much an entry level cyclist but these guys treat you so well and really know their stuff. No pushy tactics, just great service.

Had a great experience at Ivanhoe Bicycles on Bell Street today. Nash spent a lot of time helping me find the right fit for clothes without any pressure, and I ended up with exactly what I wanted at a good price. Connor was also really helpful, showing me different bike locks and offering solid suggestions. Great service all around thanks, and I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing and approachable service today. Was able to quickly fix and answer all of my bike related questions and even gave me some helpful hints for the future. This is the place to go for all of your bike tune ups from the beginner through to the advanced rider.

Exceptional service. I booked a more expensive service than my bike required, Louis inspected my bike when I dropped off and said I only required a lesser/cheaper service. Was very helpful and lovely to deal with as were the team members when I collected. Fantastic customer experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back.

Louis is an incredible bike mechanic. He is friendly, helpful, explained everything and was great to deal with. Andrew was really helpful, patient and knowledgeable with assisting me choose bar tape. Overall a fabulous experience, I can't recommend them enough. Thanks guys.

Great service. I has an issue with my rear wheel and brought it in to 99 bikes in South Melbourne. Ellis repaired it on the spot while I waited. He was skilled, clearly knowledgable and very courteous. A very good experience and I highly recommend Ellis if you need your bike serviced/repaired.

Great service, have helped me out of a bind in the past when my bike handlebars suddenly came loose mid ride home. Very friendly staff. More recently I needed a rubber spacer to affix a light /camera to scooter handlebars and the store person gave it to me at no charge. Awesome store

I broke my front derailleur on my morning commute - dropped it off at Cecil Walkers with zero notice to them. They repaired within the hour. The ride home was like being on a new bike - smooth gear changing. Great service all round

Great place with prompt, friendly service and good advice - they've gotten me out of a few pickles with emergency flats and whatnot. Much appreciated, would highly recommend
