COOKIE REVIEWS
I had an incredible dining experience at Cookie, where they serve fusion Thai dishes. The flavours in every dish we ordered were simply delicious! their menu was innovative and extensive which left me in awe. The ambiance was great, with a cool and funky vibe and dim lights. We got the tapioca dumplings, and baked scallops, spicy soft shell crab with mushroom broth, thai green curry and coconut rice. Everything was on point with the food and I will be back to try other items from their menu. While the service could be improved, I understand that it was a busy Saturday night. Overall, I give Cookie a solid 5 stars!
Don't look at the menu and turn back. Looks pricey but they are big portion sizes. I was hungry when I got there just the entree filled me up and I didn't even finish the two mains I got. So one dish serves 2-3 easily. If you are unsure ask the staff. Great recommendations from the guy behind the bar.
Really pleased with all the dishes we chose, as well as the cocktails and wine choice. Our waitress was so lovely recommending great dishes - attentive but not overbearing. The whole snapper is unreal and the atmosphere is cool. It's buzzing but not too loud or dark that you can't have a good chat.

EAU DE VIE REVIEWS
In love with this place! It was full house when we arrived and it was very loud so not the best for people who are sensory sensitive. Definitely not a quiet bar at all. Make sure you reserve well ahead of time to secure a spot. We were so happy we were seated at the bar watching bartenders in action! Food was excellent and so well priced. Will definitely return - Our bartender was amazing and entire experience was faultless.
Such a great late night institution - the signature snack board is a fabulous complement to the ever changing variety of cocktails on offer. The team is super friendly and always willing to guide you on your tasting journey if you get stumped by the exhaustive menu of options! Love coming here - been many times - and I’ll definitely be back!
So lovely! Staff and knowledgeable about their cocktail menu. Drinks are fantastic and the food is delicious as well.

Love this classic, speakeasy style bar in the CBD, hidden inside a mysterious wooden door and a few doors down from Her Majesties theatre. Decorated with such old style flair and absolutely oozing with ambience and charm. Lots of red velvet, chandeliers, candle light and comfy leather seats sets a luxurious theme. They have an extensive cocktail menu ( check out the cute, illustrated menu book!)and are experts at whipping up the perfect drink. I also like the downstairs toilets, hidden behind some classic old star portraits....and I just discovered a hidden whisky bar behind the Marilyn portrait.
Absolute love this classic bar! The drinks are incredible and the service is fantastic. We tried the Light of the Moon, Caribou Lou, Once in the Morning and another drink that was specially made by the bartender for us (forgot the name of it though!). All of the drinks were delicious - highly recommend the Light of the Moon if you like more of a sweet dessert like cocktail! The cream on top makes it extra special. The Once in a Morning is very good too.
Just fabulous, we stumbled on this place as we were discovering the city while on holiday, I'm so glad we came here. The staff were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about their cocktails. The drinks were well made with fine attention to detail and flavour combinations. We all agreed in our travel group that this place was an unexpected and wonderful find. A place we'd love to return to for our next trip to Melbourne.
