3 Best Cafes in Mackay, QLD

Brilliant and lovely staff, everyone is so welcoming and warm, you can come in and pretty much guarantee a smile will come to your face atleast once. I love waffles, the waffles here are a little different to what I’m used to, but I gave the Biscoff waffles a go, they look great! I just wanted more volume to the waffles and ice cream to match perhaps that’s just my preference, but that’s why I did 4 stars.

Was extremely busy on both days I visited, but the (Grinders) coffee was good and correct temperature. I had a tonkatsu sandwich for lunch which was delicious and went back for breakfast and had Turkish eggs with haloumi - definitely very tasty. This cafe wasn’t here last time I was in Mackay, but I’m sure it will be successful as the food is delicious and multiple staff actually asked for feedback and genuinely seemed to care about customer experience! Well done.

Very busy so must be doing something right. 15 minute wait for a coffee. Dunno about dogs where I'm eating, especially big ones. Friendly staff. Different stuff on the menu which was good.

Went here for lunch with my husband for my birthday as we were just visiting Mackay for the weekend. I was very impressed by the menu, as the food was different from standard Cafe lunch food. The prices of the food were very reasonable too. The hummus dip was delicious and unlike anything I've had at a restaurant before. It was full of flavour and different textures on the plate. I had pork belly for my main and was impressed by the portion size! 3 large pieces of pork for around $20, when most restaurants would give you 1 piece for the same price. Staff were all friendly too. I would definitely recommend this place for good food and drinks.

If you want to experience a touch of fine dining with some familiar favourites, then this is the place for you. The soft shell crab was sublime. The prawn risotto was out of this world. But I enjoyed the grilled chicken. I did not think I would be full, but I surprisingly was. It was an explosion of flavour with each bite.

Best Big Breakfast I've ever had. My husband and I share one and are so happy. Great coffees too.

Great coffee in Mackay - opens early and you can get a nice breakfast. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. They have a nice selection of snacks and cakes if you need something to keep you going. Looking forward to visiting again next time I am in Mackay.

A different sensation coffee! Especially their Ethiopian. Love it! They make good coffee art with beautiful crema and milk quality. The foods also nice! Love the breakfast roll. The service is awesome.
