Went to celebrate a birthday, and the staff arranged ice cream and a birthday song, which made the outing even more memorable. The food was delicious, fresh, hot, and generous. The tables were comfortable and not too close to other diners.

Decent Chinese restaurant, very quick to bring out the dishes. Tried the roasted duck, it was more like fried, nevertheless tasted good. The coconut rice is a bit too sweet to my taste. The sizzling plate looked really tasty, and that’s will be something I try later.

They have very versatile and capable kitchen and staff and warm waiters that are attentive and accommodating. The portion sizes leave a bit to be desired, but I am a big eater.

Absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. Doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't. Good food at a reasonable price (we had the smorgasbord which was very well done and had all the best selections), great service from very friendly staff, and we could get a cold beer too!! Will definitely visit them again when next in Mackay. Thank you.

The food here is fantastic. The owners are the old owners of banquet house, so it's back to the fantastic food you remember. The menu is a great of Chinese and Australian food. You can get both nachos and honey chicken. It will please everyone in your group. The staff are really friendly and always make you feel welcome.

Absolutely delicious every time, I got the chance to see out the back before opening once and it was so hygienic. All the food being cooked from fresh ingredients, from the vegetables to the meats. Highly recommend.

My husband chose this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. We were up from NSW visiting our daughter, who has just moved to Mackay. The 4 of us agreed it was the best Chinese we have ever had. We dined in and there was a group of 10 already eating. Their food looked and smelled amazing and our dishes didn’t disappoint. Every other Chinese I’ve had lacks proper flavour and seasonings and is just bland, but not this food, it tasted amazing.Our server was so lovely and friendly and the restaurant is clean and has a really nice vibe. I highly recommend.

Amazing! Some of the best chinese food ever. Banquet option was great value. My son (11) says it's "One of the most immersive experiences I have ever had."

My partner is a fussy eater. He loved his meal as much as I did. We don't go anywhere else now after trying Golden Sun. I ordered take-away so I do not know what the dine-in area is like. The food is absolutely amazing.
