St. David's Cathedral was designed by the English architect George Frederick Bodley, who created the church's Gothic Revival architecture. The church offers a quiet and warm ambiance. St. David's Cathedral choir offers sacred classical and contemporary music in worship and concert. The church has programmes for primary and high school-age children and a creche for preschoolers. The organs in the church are among the finest in Australia. The church is primarily dedicated to sharing the news of Jesus Christ and building a community of faith, hope, and love. The stained-glass windows here depict saints, kings, and biblical characters. St. David's Cathedral is the venue for significant occasions for the Diocese, City, and State. St. Mary's Cathedral is a spiritual church. The church was established to serve the community's rapidly growing Catholic population and parish families. The church's foundation stone was laid in 1860 and was built with Gothic Revival architecture designed by William Wardell. They provide a foundation for learning about humanity and faith for people of all ages. St. Mary's Cathedral has been a historic abode to many generations, as the church's history dates back over 130 years. The church is one of the oldest Cathedrals in Australia, which stands as proof of its cultural significance. The church's imposing pillars and stonework, exquisite stained glass, and magnificent pipe organ are works of leading artisans from Australia and overseas. Additionally, the east window containing the Hardman stained glass was recovered from the original cathedral and reinstalled. St. Mary's Cathedral's current organ was built in 1893 and continues to serve the choir during worship and concerts.

St. Joseph's Church is the oldest Catholic church in the community. The first Mass was celebrated on Christmas Day 1841. St. Joseph's Church was built of local sandstone and designed by James Thomson. Over the years, the church has served the community with seasonal and regular Masses. The stained glass windows of St. Joseph's Church serve a catechetical role in preaching faith and love to the community. The church also offers safe and culturally enriched preaching courses for all children. In 1981, a large cabinet was placed at the entrance to the church. The book stand at St. Joseph's Church contains historical features. The church affirms that the protection of children and the dignity of every person is the responsibility of every adult.

2025 Update: The church was built in 1841 and opened and blessed by Father Therry early on Christmas morning, 1841.
