St Mary's Cathedral, crafted from local sandstone, embodies the elegance of Gothic Revival architecture. Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Mother of God, it showcases distinctive features like flying buttresses adorning the chancel and nave, a hallmark of its unique and ancient design. Situated on Australia's inaugural Catholic Chapel site, St Mary's Cathedral stands as a testament to the magnificent Gothic Revival style, reminiscent of Europe's grand medieval cathedrals. Its architectural design primarily follows the Geometric Decorated style of Gothic, tracing its roots to the 13th century. The cathedral's organ, installed by Orgues LeTourneau, a Canadian organ builder, resonates within St Mary's Cathedral, enhancing its grandeur. The cathedral allows visitors to join a free guided tour every Sunday at 2 pm, with free admissions. Moreover, the cathedral ensures wheelchair access for all attendees.

ST MARY'S CATHEDRAL REVIEWS
Visiting St. Mary's Cathedral was an absolutely enchanting experience. The cathedral exudes a sense of history and grandeur that's truly captivating. Among the many remarkable features, the stained glass windows stood out as the highlight of my visit. The stained glass windows in St. Mary's Cathedral is nothing short of breathtaking. They tell intricate stories through vibrant colors and beautifully crafted scenes, and they fill the interior with a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of light. Each window felt like a work of art, a testament to the skill and dedication of the artists who created them. The experience of being surrounded by such divine illumination and intricate artistry was truly awe-inspiring. It's no wonder that St. Mary's Cathedral is considered a treasure trove of beauty and history. If you ever find yourself in Sydney, I highly recommend a visit to this magnificent place. It's a journey into both the spiritual and artistic heritage of the city.

Attended the Sunday evening Mass. A beautiful Gothic style Cathedral constructed with local sandstone. Similar to great medieval cathedrals in Europe. The Cathedral Church and Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and the seat of the Archbishop of Sydney.

St Patrick's Church Hill holds a prominent position as a renowned spiritual centre in Sydney. Established in the early 1840s, it marked the inception of a Catholic presence within the community. However, with the city's burgeoning population, the church's original design became inadequate, prompting the engagement of an architect to reimagine its construction. Following years of dedicated work, the church was officially unveiled in 1844. Recognizing the importance of education, St Patrick's Church Hill facilitates Marist seminarians' access to university studies, fostering academic and spiritual growth among the youth. Rooted in a rich history, the church upholds and validates numerous traditions within the community. Additionally, the church actively engages with the community by hosting an RCIA program, allowing individuals to prepare for entry into the Catholic Church or to recommit themselves after an absence. St Patrick's offers Masses and Reconciliation services throughout the week, including weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays, ensuring regular spiritual opportunities for attendees.

ST PATRICK’S CHURCH HILL REVIEWS
One of the nicest churches you'll visit in Sydney. But what what your looking for is the mean hidden away coffee shop in their courtyard to have a coffee while admiring the really awesome architecture.
A really authentic place of worship, has all the saints in statues suspended above the side walls of the church ,a separate room for prayer * & to light a candle .3 & or more rows of seating for confessional. A must to visit .
Home away from home. Lots of great memories slipping in during a busy day in town to visit Our Lord and go to confession. The true heart of Catholic history in Australia.

ST ANDREW'S CATHEDRAL REVIEWS
A dramatic and awe-inspiring space. The stained glass windows are intricately designed and they make the Bible stories they tell come alive as you walk around the cathedral. Robert was full of historical knowledge about the church and I learned some fascinating facts about Renaissance art.
They said this is the oldest cathedral here.. whereas the Queen Elizabeth visited this cathedral way back in 1956 (where you can see the painting). Well- maintained cathedral, and easily accessible as well. You can get off from Townhall lightrail or T1 to come here
I recommend visiting here who like gothic architecture lovers. An awesome build. The contrast with the modern buildings behind it gives me mixed feelings.
