“St Mary's Cathedral provides Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist and more. The church is the first Catholic Chapel in Australia. They are constructed in local sandstone. The Gothic Revival style of their architecture is the great medieval cathedrals of Europe. The church was designed principally in the geometrically adorned style of Gothic, which first evolved around the 13th century. The church has a high altar screen and the colours of the Great North Window. St Mary's Cathedral has a unique design, drawing on some aspects of their medieval forbears. St Mary’s Cathedral's admissions are free, and wheelchair access is offered.”
