St Mary's Cathedral provides Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist and more. The church is the first Catholic Chapel in Australia. They are constructed of local sandstone. The Gothic Revival style of their architecture is the great medieval cathedrals of Europe. The church was designed principally in the geometrically adorned style of Gothic, which first evolved around the 13th century. The church has a high altar screen and the colours of the Great North Window. St Mary's Cathedral has a unique design, drawing on some aspects of its medieval forbears. St Mary’s Cathedral's admissions are free, and wheelchair access is offered.

2025 Update: The church stretches 107 metres in length, and the central tower rises to 46 metres.

St Patrick’s Church was established in the early 1840s to serve the beginning of Catholic lives in the community. The church was officially opened in 1844. Marist Seminary provided academic and spiritual formation for many young Australians who joined the Marists and, for many years, the Toongabbie. St Patrick’s Church has been a spiritual oasis for more than 170 years. They provide the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The seminary was moved to Hunters Hill to provide Marist seminarians with easier access to university studies in 1974. The church offers Masses and Reconciliation on Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

2025 Update: The church is the oldest surviving Catholic church in Sydney and was designed by William Fernyhough.

St Andrew's Cathedral provides Bible study groups. The Cathedral is the central gathering place for Diocesan events, the consecration of Bishops and Archbishops, training and teaching conferences and special outreach events. St Andrew’s Cathedral School has an association with the Cathedral and was first established as a school for the Cathedral choir. The church provides traditional services, including Holy Communion each week. The Choral Evensong is a traditional service based on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer and features their world-famous choir of boys and men. St Andrew's Cathedral acknowledges with respect the Traditional Custodian.

2025 Update: The church was designed primarily by Edmund Blacket on foundations laid by James Hume. The church has disabled parking and is wheelchair-accessible.
