I was extremely fortunate to be referred to a service where Wajan was employed for my EAP counselling. She was so gentle, explorative, clear and kind, and quickly pinpointed the heart of the matter; I wanted and needed to work less. The counselling process with Wajan gave me permission to be truthful to myself and move forward with courage. This was life changing and I will be forever grateful, as the wellbeing of myself and my family began improved remarkably from this point. Not long after my counselling experience with Wajan, I was approached by an admin officer in my workplace, asking me how to pronounce the name Wajan as she was about to invite her in for a job interview for a counselling position. I immediately approached my boss and told them employing Wajan was a must. Once Wajan had the job I often referred people with quite complex situations to her, because I knew she would use the same open-hearted, open-minded approach with them as she had with me, and they would gradually make the changes they needed with the safe sanctuary of her presence.

Wajan was a beacon of light during one of the darkest and most challenging times of my life. Through every step of that period, she listened with compassion, guided with wisdom, and helped me find the strength to keep going. When that chapter ended, where I’d faced and stood up to the very worst kind of human behaviour, I was left shattered, angry, and lost. Through it all, Wajan remained a steady, grounding presence. Her wise counsel helped me quiet the anger and begin the process of healing. With her gentle support, I was able to piece myself back together, reclaim my strength, and step forward into life once more. Wajan’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering encouragement, both in words and in spirit, continue to stay with me, reminding me how to find peace and resilience in an often chaotic world. Wajan provides a wonderful space for both adults and children to relax, find comfort, and release energy. My children absolutely love visiting her each week, and we always leave feeling more connected and refreshed after our sessions. Wajan has taught us so many important lessons, including how to build up our confidence and create a safe space for ourselves. Her nurturing and supportive environment has made a huge difference for our family, and we are so grateful for the positive impact she's had on us.

When you look back on things, it is amazing sometimes to see how obvious your emotions, feelings and behaviour are to both yourself and to those around you. But at the time, you don’t see it that way and despite people telling you to seek support, you don’t think it will help, -it does. Accessing the counselling services at the epicentre provided me with the skills to look back on how I was feeling and transform my views on my personal and professional life. The end result is that I am a completely different person with a more positive outlook.
