“Nowra Golf & Recreation Club has a Clubhouse atmosphere that matches its relaxed course setting. Spacious lounge areas, comfort and quality dining in the bistro, and a verandah area that is an attraction with tranquil surroundings. The golf shop is stocked with all the requirements for the game and golfers. The club has an excellent team of golf instructors for its players. In addition, they conduct weddings, corporate days, seminars, business launches, meetings, and group social days. “Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club was funded initially through $1 donations from members of the local community. The popular Heads Hotel Summer Competition, played over 9 holes during the summer months, In February 2006, the course expanded to 15 holes with the addition of six new ones. However, due to limited funds, the full 18-hole layout could not be completed. For many years, play continued on the 15-hole course, while environmental studies and land rights issues prevented further development.

2025 Update: In addition to a dedicated professional Pro Shop and the course’s consistently excellent condition, Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club is now rated as the 138th best golf course in Australia.”

Great club. Beautiful course. Unfortunately been a bit ravaged by the rain at the moment. I'm sure it won't take too long for the ground staff and volunteers to get it back looking spectacular again.

What a gorgeous course. Beautiful. And the guy in the pro shop/bar was super friendly and incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.

I have been a member for over 25 years. The course is pretty, and it does have its hard holes The staff are friendly.

Absolutely stunning golf course! Huge amount of space. Beautiful green and breathtaking views with the mountains in the background We enjoyed the back 9 the most. The staff were super friendly, the hotel looked great, the club was amazing for a drink afterwards, everything is new and modern. The carts were new with GPS and screens to show you around the course. We loved everything about this place. HIGHLY recommend. Can't wait to go back there!

After finishing 18 holes of golf and being heavily intoxicated the staff were very pleasant with us. They actually let us in to get some water and just chill for 30mins while we contemplated our life choices. Very rare you get a bouncer willing to be nice to a couple of sunburt bums after a long day drinking and playing golf. I would recommend this place to anyone. Had an awesome day.

All the staff working there are very organised & nothing is a problem they are very abliging. The grounds /course are well maintained & immaculate

Absolutely awesome golf club with the most amazing all weather course I have ever seen. The pro and the committee/volunteer staff did an amazing job to host our group of 30 guys on a weekend tour to the south coast. The most welcoming club I’ve seen for some time. Thanks to all you guys, you just get it. Well done

Great course. Greens were perfect, rest of the course in great condition. A credit to all staff and volunteers.
