Dr. Suvi Hyytinen is a local Gynaecologist based in Cairns with a rich background in medical education and practice. Her journey began with the completion of her undergraduate Medical Degree at the University of New South Wales in 2002, after which she spent an additional five years in Surgical, Obstetric, and Gynaecological residencies at esteemed institutions such as the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, and the Royal Women Hospital in Randwick. Following this, she returned to Queensland to pursue her specialist training. In February 2014, Dr. Suvi obtained her Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Her comprehensive care extends to general Gynaecological issues, pregnancy care (general Obstetrics), and fertility treatment. Dr. Suvi has a particular interest in Laparoscopic (keyhole) Surgery. From 2014 to 2016, she served as a Staff Specialist at the Cairns Hospital, concurrently pursuing a Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine from UNSW. Her dedication and expertise were acknowledged with an award of excellence upon her graduation in June 2016.
