“Dr Omar Gailani is a gynaecologist and a laparoscopic and pelvic floor reconstructive surgeon at the Equinox Centre in Deakin. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from Baghdad University. Dr Gailani has completed further qualifications, including the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and a Diploma in Gynaecology from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the International Continence Society (ICS) and the International Urogynecology Association (IUGA). Additionally, he holds a certificate in urodynamics from the Bristol Urological Institute. Dr Gailani serves as Co-Director, alongside Dr Al-Sameraaii (a urologist), at the Canberra Urology and Gynaecological Centre. He also offers outpatient hysteroscopy services and iAluRil treatment, a therapy designed to restore the bladder's glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer for patients suffering from painful bladder conditions and recurrent urinary tract infections. Despite the challenges of my situation, I always felt well-supported. The entire team was warm, knowledgeable, and professional, making a difficult process much easier to navigate. Dr. Gailani is thorough and meticulous, taking women’s health and future well-being seriously. After seeing specialists for years and often feeling dismissed and unheard, I finally felt like I was in the right hands. He performed my complicated hysterectomy, and I’m deeply grateful to him for giving me freedom in my body once again. Dr. Huda Younis is by far the best doctor of any sort I've seen. I had massive anxiety for my procedures and she and the accompanying nurse made it so bearable. I'd give more stars if I could - genuinely kind and compassionate.

Dr Younis is very professional and qualified gynaecologist. She has been looking after my wife and daughter from many years. It’s always been a pleasure to see her. Thank you Dr. for taking care of us.

Highly recommend David and his team. His expertise, advice and calm manner made such a difference for me throughout my first pregnancy. He took the time to explain the options throughout to ensure I could make an informed decision. My baby and I are both doing really well and this is a credit to the care we received from David and his staff.

David helped us through the IVF and OB phase for our two children over the last three years. He was honest, professional and caring and we are very grateful for all of his support along the way. Highly recommend David and his team.
