Dr Omar Gailani is a gynaecologist and a laparoscopic and pelvic floor reconstructive surgeon at the Equinox Centre in Deakin. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from Baghdad University. Dr Gailani has completed further qualifications, including the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and a Diploma in Gynaecology from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the International Continence Society (ICS) and the International Urogynecology Association (IUGA). Additionally, he holds a certificate in urodynamics from the Bristol Urological Institute. Dr Gailani serves as Co-Director, alongside Dr Al-Sameraaii (a urologist), at the Canberra Urology and Gynaecological Centre.
