The Big Golden Guitar stands as a major attraction in Australia. On 25 January 1988, the iconic Slim Dusty and Mr Paul Crombie, General Manager of Tourism NSW, officially unveiled this landmark. A 12-meter-tall replica of the prestigious Golden Guitar Awards presented at the Country Music Awards of Australia, it weighs half a tonne. It has earned recognition as an Australian icon and a highly distinguished landmark in the region. Crafted from fibreglass and wood with steel reinforcement, this colossal golden guitar, despite lacking strings, remains a massive outdoor sculpture. Adjacent to it stands a country music and gift shop, complemented by an attached coffee cafe.

THE BIG GOLDEN GUITAR REVIEWS
One of the important landmark in Tamworth, visitors should stop and take photos in front of it. It has enough space for parking nearby to keep the moment by photos. It is on the road from Tamworth to Muswellbrook. Indeed, it is a symbol to remember while visiting Tamworth.
This was an awesome stop in Tamworth, at "The Golden Guitar" right beside the information centre. We were first to get some photos together at the guitar, gees we took a few and to early to get into the visitor centre. Took several shots and took some for others that turned up, good fun, very early Sunday morning, after an awesome breakfast at the accomdation.
Worth the visit to the golden guitar. The information centre is interesting as well with signed guitars from country royalty. Worth the visit.

Australian Country Music Hall of Fame was designed as a guitar, and houses concert attire worn by renowned musicians, awards, and various memorabilia. The museum regularly updates and changes its displays, centring on the artists and delving into lesser-known aspects of their personal lives. Each exhibit narrates a distinct story. Among the showcased items are stage outfits, musical instruments, a Glockenspiel, handmade leather goods, and bush works from Gordon Parsons and Rodney Walker's festival ensemble. Present exhibitions feature The Blanch Family (Arthur, Berice, and Jewel) and their Boomerang guitar.
