3 Best Mexican Restaurants in Melbourne VIC

My friends and I had a wonderful time here – the food was delicious (not a single miss!) and the service was great too. Caesar was an absolute angel who always checked in on us and even went so far as to recommend places for us to check out in the area. I would love to go back again.

Hecho en Mexico restaurant on Brunswick St in Fitzroy offers excellent hospitality. Our server, Mahim, was fantastic, from the warm welcome to checking in on us after our meal. The interior and exterior beautifully capture the vibrant Mexican vibe. The food was outstanding; we enjoyed the tacos and Spanish paella, which was particularly impressive. The flavors of the paella were perfectly balanced, making it a standout dish. Highly recommend!

The best Mexican restaurant that I have ever been to, so far! Amazing food, delicious drinks, friendly staff. Seriously, you must visit thus place. I've already messaged my friends to set a date and come back here. Thank you Mahim for looking after us with your wonderful service.

El Camino Cantina Fitzroy has such a lively vibe — perfect for a night out with friends. The Tex-Mex dishes are full of flavour, and the margaritas are easily some of the best in Melbourne. Staff were friendly and quick with service even during busy hours. The music and colourful interior make the whole place feel energetic and fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food, drinks, and a great atmosphere!

The food was delicious I had the fish tacos, I highly recommend them! The chicken burrito was amazing too. Very generous servings! Cocktails were also really yummy! Even give you salsa's and home made corn chips on arrival! Service was great too!

The guy that cleaned my table on Saturday night was incredibly nice and engaging. This guy really deserves a raise, he works really hard and clearly wants to make the dining experience for every customer as fantastic and outstanding as possible! I'm definitely coming back next time I see he's working! Thanks Yeimar!

I’ve never been here before but I’m pleasantly surprised with the superb customer service. Hands up for Sam who didn’t rush me and took his time to explain the menu and even give recommendations. In the end I got a regular brisket burrito with a small side of fries for $18 which was surprisingly filling given the amount. I thought it was expensive but the service and taste definitely made up for it. Five stars. Would do this weekly if I lived here!!

I went here last Friday night around 8:30ish and the service was outstanding. It was soooo busy and hectic, and there was one person on the till (I think her name was Divinity if I heard it correctly) and she was bubbly, patient and enthusiastic. This was made even more impressive by the fact that half the people in store were drunk or chatting with friends.
