Extremely beautiful park, l loved every second walking through it. I'm from Melbourne and always visit this parkland. Really serene atmosphere.

Fantastic, an open air wonderland. Quiet shady areas, sunny open areas. Ideal for picnics, restrooms available.

Excellent park to just have walk or relax in the shade. Also a great venue for outdoor events!

Goomboora Park is dogs paradise. Humans also enjoy the Freshwater creek. there is a beautiful cycle track along the creek to Redlynch Valley 6.5km, you can stop and enjoy the creek and different spots. Bring your hat and take your rubbish home. Bathrooms and drinkable water was available on Dec 2022. Help us protect and care for nature on this paradise.

A fantastic place to take your dog for a walk and a swim on hot days - plenty of shade and plenty of space, easily the best off-lead park for dogs in the Cairns area! Great for us humans too, the river is beautiful - nice clear water, plenty of facilities and abundant bird life too!

One of the best parks I've visited in Cairns. Goomboora Park is well kept with beautiful grass and vegetation, open fields, play equipment, paths, bathroom facilities, picnic benches and parking.

Climb the gentle slope to the top of the park for a view across the cane fields to the ranges, let the kids play on the playground, kick their footy, fly a kite or throw the frisby in the wide open spaces. Picnic shelters are available, but better in the cool of the late afternoon or an early morning picnic breakfast. Dogs on lead only. The small seasonal creek is good for a paddle when it's running.

Open spaces with shady spots to pull out the picnic blanket and enjoy the scenery. Kids playground with shaded tables, drinking water and large trees. There's also a boundary creek that the kids love to explore. The hillside aspect make this a fantastic park to walk around and gain some views over Stratford toward the Kuranda Range. Top park, and usually quiet. Best for frisbie, kites, kicking a ball, etc.

Beautiful park. Lots of shaded spots. So much space. A few mozzies, so take some insect repellent so you don't get smashed. But a really beautiful space. Playground: A couple different slides, some swings and monkey bars. Wobbly steps and a fireman's pole.
