WOW! The Barron Gorge National Park is an absolute Must for freshwater hole swimming. These amazing waterholes of which there are plenty are beautiful. In the summer months, stingers are in the ocean and make swimming very hard so freshwater creeks are the way to go.

Lots of open parks to play games, creek for paddling, bicycle paths and a wonderful obstacle course for the children. Toilet and free BBQs. Seating is limited so bring a rug to put under one of the many trees. Off-leash dog parks at one end of Goomboora. Wonderful venue close to the city with plenty of car parking in three separate areas.
