3 Best Bars in Cairns QLD

Half way between Cairns and Port Douglas is Ellis Beach Bar & Grill, a great place to stop for lunch at a great price. We have passed it many times on our way to Port Douglas and always said we should stop there one day. So we did and we weren't disappointed. My husband had a hamburger and I had the pork bao buns. Next time we are up this way we might even look at visiting for a meal at night. Great value and quick and friendly service

Great vibe. When we hired a car from Cairns, 4 yrs ago we were told by the hire company we must stop here. Then, we just drove by, didn't look inviting at all. Now, what a difference. Total rebuild and now worthy of a stop. Loved it.

This place is awesome to take your family and pets. Laid back vibes good view and cold beer. Food was outstanding huge portions for a good price. Definitely check it out.

Came for a casual Sunday lunch with my mum. Had nice chill tunes playing and was busy but not overcrowded. We ordered the vegetable linguine and 3 soft shell tacos with jerk chicken, haloumi and coconut prawn. The tacos were small naan style breads rather than tortillas - this meant they were a little more filling and held together well. Also had a great recommendation to try a new cider from the bar staff. Service was friendly and smiling. Was a great relaxing experience with a tasty meal which is well priced considering the view and location. Will definitely come again!

This place has one of the most amazing bar atmospheres in Cairns! It's laid back, has a well stocked bar and gorgeous views over the water. The food is "good honest pub food". We loved the salt and pepper calamari and the hickory smoked pork ribs. Great spot to take a bunch of friends.

Stopped in here for a Cocktail after dining elsewhere, so I can't rate the food, but OMG the cocktails are the best we have had since moving to Cairns 5 years ago. I wish I had visited this place earlier. Service was great, friendly staff, speedy service and great atmosphere.

This is the place to be! Great atmosphere! Real trendy whisky and cocktail bar. Always a relaxed yet energetic vibe. The service is second to none in Cairns! Staff are always super helpful and friendly. Fantastic drinks options available, from moreish cocktails to straight spirit options and basic mixers. ***best whisky collection in the area. Really tasty tapas food menu. End of the week can get busy, but it’s worth it! Highly Recommend!!!!

This is the coolest bar in Cairns... nice to pop in for a drink before and/or after dinner! The staff are always friendly and relaxed - and know how to make a very very good cocktail! Try the whiskey sour! It was amazing!!! There is also a great choice of whiskeys and the wine selection very good! The atmosphere chilled and fun!
