3 Best Places To Visit in Hervey Bay QLD

A serene escape in a relatively quiet area. The variety of native plants is quite nice, especially for anyone with an interest in local flora. The gardens are easy to explore, and the paths are accessible for all ages. However, I found some areas a bit sparse in terms of plant diversity. The orchid house is a highlight, though it could benefit from more extensive displays. The signage around the garden was helpful, but additional information on plant species would enhance the experience. Overall, it's a good spot to relax and enjoy nature.

Wonderful serene place to take a walk, with both easily-accessed attractions to check out and plenty of walking paths further in. Orchid House worth a look, but for me the star of the show is the Chinese gardens and the viewing platform over the pond. Beautiful spot early in the morning.

Nice gardens, well kept, and the trails are nice! Be sure to check out the previous house - nice tidy up for the 50th birthday.

Absolutely amazing service by the crew...Well done team Entry fees may seem a bit steep but that's taken care of by this amazing team who shows determination to ensure each and every patron entering their premises gets nothing less than the best class of service, Respect I did forget to ask for names as such a genuine small family business who is thriving by working extremely hard since more than 4 decades and taking care of the wonderful sea creatures and looking well after them. Highly recommended to go thero and enjoy the turtle feed and see the natural aqua habitat. Best part is they do day pass and have well maintained small playground for tiny tots and even can do BBQ in the park......I surely will go again, with family and friends too and support this local business....Well done team Keep up the good work.

Brilliant little aquarium. Wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but was pleasantly Surprised. Staff were super friendly, came and educated us on all sorts of things and getting to pat and feed Sam the turtle was a true highlight. The aquariums are natural, so they use water pumped in from the ocean and no artificial lighting. So it’s not like other aquariums with crystal clear water and colourful displays.

A really well done experience, staff were full of stories about the turtles living there, it's clear the animals were well looked-after. Great place to spend an hour after lunch.

Best museum we have visited in Australia. Amazing attention to detail, beautiful gardens with trees explained, wheelchair friendly, something of great interest for everyone., guys will love the machinery and women the houses, shops and old church Loved the original slab hut and old Queenslander. Very friendly volunteers who share their pride and love for the museum.

What a gem. The volunteers do an excellent job of maintaining and displaying the many artefacts donated to this museum. Thoroughly enjoyed the Blacksmith, corn pulling and rope making demonstrations, very informative. Home to what was salvaged from the wreck of the Maheno. Delightful period cottages, school room, shops, machinery, fire brigade displays etc etc this place has something for everyone. Very nostalgic.

Such a great museum! As we entered the place, we were welcomed by two volunteers who were friendly and knowledgeable! The museum is very well maintained and organised. It was a very interesting morning where we had the opportunity to learn more about Hervey Bay history.
