3 Best Sushi in Sunshine Coast QLD

Enticed by the combination of a restaurant with alfresco & sushi train dining, we went here for dinner. I didn’t take many photos because the food was too good! This is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to. The service was prompt and quick, and the food was outstanding! I particularly like that they serve local brews. I recommend the tender Pork Belly & Agedashi Tofu. Also every table was booked out except the sushi bar (where we sat). I give this place a 10/10. We will be coming back soon.

We went to Sushi Yah man on Saturday with my family and it was great experience..from food, service to atmosphere. Kids loved sushi train and we loved the salmon dishes! My wife couldn't get enough of the ice cream..it's must try! We will definitely be back.

Excellent food, fresh and delicious! The food came out quickly and staff were lovely. We didn’t book and it was a busy Saturday night, they went above the norm to have us seated with our young kids. Very family friendly. We had been recommended and I would definitely recommend to others! Pretty well priced for Japanese too.

Sun Sushi in Sippy Downs is a hidden gem that consistently delivers fresh, flavour-packed sushi. I recently stopped in to try a few of their popular items: the California Roll, Jessy Roll, Tempura Prawn Avocado Roll, and Seared Scallop. The Jessy Roll was the standout—absolutely the best! Sun Sushi is well worth a visit. Whether you’re after classic rolls or something more creative, their quality and attention to detail won’t disappoint. The staff are warm and polite, and the atmosphere is casual yet clean and inviting—perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed dinner.

Their freshly made seared sushi is absolutely my favourite — you can really taste the difference when it’s made to order. The quality, flavor, and consistency keep me coming back again and again. Highly recommend.

Alissa who served us was a very kind, courteous and patient young woman. The food was reasonably priced for exceptional quality! A local favourite.

Love this place for both dine in and takeaway. Food flavours and presentation is always attentive and consistent. Staff are friendly. Takeaways are always on time (I use the bopple option). In house dining is quiet but atmospheric, very clean and nice side options (sauces, cold water). We have eaten the sushi, miso, Ramen, Curry bowls, Teriyaki bowls - all consisent, fresh and tasty. Disagree with the review about old rice - we've been there for lunches and dinners and never had that issue. Thank you Sushi Ari you are our weekday dining out go-to.

Unbelievably good sushi. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming, the menu was extensive and catered to all dietary preferences. The meal when delivered was very well presented and the taste would have to have been one of the best tasting Japanese cuisine ever. The food was obviously made fresh and delivered to the table straight away. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Not much parking out front but plenty at nearby car parks. Will certainly revisit when in the area.

It was the best sushi experience! The fresh ingredients and the meticulous preparation were impressive. The sushi was truly a work of art, and I couldn't help but marvel at how it melted in my mouth. The staff were very friendly and provided attentive service, making the meal even more enjoyable. The interior is also cozy. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.
