A/Prof Mark Louie-Johnsun graduated from the University of New South Wales and completed his advanced general surgical training at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He serves as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He was awarded the Board of Urology Travelling Fellowship and received specialised training in the United Kingdom from one of the leading international experts in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. He specialises in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, particularly for kidney and prostate cancer, and is recognised as a high-volume laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgeon. A/Prof Mark Louie-Johnsun has performed over 1,000 major advanced minimally invasive cancer surgeries, specifically addressing kidney, prostate, and bladder cancers. He actively engages in clinical research and education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications to his name, including serving as the lead author in one of Australia's largest multicenter radical prostatectomy series.

Dr Rupert Ouyang completed his urological training in Taiwan before commencing training with the Australasian College of Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and an active Australian and New Zealand Urological Society member. Dr Ouyang specialises in urethroplasty using buccal mucosa grafts to correct urethral strictures resulting from previous congenital hypospadias repair or acquired urethral strictures. He performed a large number of major operations, such as laparoscopic nephrectomy & radical prostatectomy. His exposure to a wide spectrum of medical conditions gave him a profound insight into urological disorders and helped to establish and mature his patient care philosophy.
