“Dr Peter Chong earned his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and completed his Fellowship in Endourology. He is a Newcastle-based Urological Surgeon with local and international training. He is a Member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the European Urological Association and the Australian Medical Association. Dr Peter Chong is passionate about ensuring that patients are well-informed about their condition before surgery and offering all their care options. Dr Chong is actively engaged in research and is an ANZ Journal of Surgery reviewer. He has published peer-reviewed articles in BJU International, BMJ Open, and Radiation Oncology. He is recruiting participants for several studies focused on urology oncology patients through the University of Newcastle and the University of New South Wales. Dr Chong operates privately at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, Lingard Private Hospital, Warners Bay Private Hospital, and publicly at the John Hunter Hospital and Belmont Hospital.
