A/PROF MITCHELL HANSEN - NEWCASTLE BRAIN & SPINE REVIEWS
I worked with Dr Hansen and I've seen him interact with patients and family in a very polite and kind manner, so when I had to look for a neurosurgeon for myself, I only had one person in my mind. I didn't regret it despite two years of worker's compensation experience. The surgery has given me back most of what the injury has taken from me. I finally feel that I can live normally from now on - and it's because of Dr Hansen's help, support, and expertise. Thanks to you and your staff!
I suffered from a ruptured brain Aneurysm. I was taken to John Hunter Hospital. Dr Hansen performed urgent surgery on my brain and saved my life. He is such a gracious man in his manner and is a wonderfully skilled surgeon. I am alive and functioning today because of his great skill. Thank you Dr Hansen.
Dr Hansen is an amazing Surgeon. He is polite and calm. His staff are extremely friendly to patients. I would highly recommend Dr Hansen to anyone needing advice.

DR RICHARD FERCH REVIEWS
I went to Dr Ferch with acute sciatic pain that had lasted 4 weeks. I was unable to lie flat and was only managing about 4 hrs disturbed sleep a night. I was only able to walk 50m and even then only stooped over. Dr Ferch removed a substantial amount of disc that had escaped and was squishing (technical term) my L4 nerve in my spine. It's been a ride, but 6 weeks later I have very little pain, am walking well and sleeping great. And it continues to improve. Very happy :)
I was diagnosed with a herniated L4 disc through an MRI due to a workplace injury. It took nearly 7 weeks to finally get a referral to see Dr Fertch and due to persistent down my left leg Dr recommended surgery over a cortisone injection. The procedure was explained well and after an IME appointment to confirm the outcome I was booked in for surgery shortly afterI'm now 8 weeks post surgery and the instant relief was amazing. I was up walking just hours after surgery and within weeks after the irratation from itchiness at the incision site settled I felt so much better. Jan and all the ladies that were at the reception desk were great, and Dr Fertch is a great surgeon and Dr. I'm hoping I don't have to go back for more surgery, however if I do, I'll be straight back to Dr Fertch.
had a bulging disc with C6 C7 pinching my nerve, had my surgery mid morning that afternoon was moving my head and neck around with barely any pain at all,. I can't really even see a scare where he opened me up, highly recommend DrRochard Fetch.
