3 Best Bakeries in Hobart TAS

Okay, this is the STAR of Hobart without any doubt! I enjoy the hospitality of staff, their smiles, and happy to see the customers. The food was delightful and delicious. The pastries are amazing. My children were all impressed with how classy this cafe is! My favourite was Vienna coffee! Absolutely yum. This cafe with the same setup in Sydney will be crazy busy. It will be on our next stop when we come back to Hobart.

A unique french bakery/pastry shop. They have a variety of sweet and savory options. The croissants are HUGE definitely one to share. I tried the semolina custard pie which was delicious. Buttery and not too sweet.

Went there 2 mornings in a row, food was delicious, nice coffee which is important and the staff were all welcoming and friendly. We were there in between 7 and 8am so it was nice and quiet. Although a lot of people were coming in for takeaway food and coffee.

We came here often during our stay in Hobart. There are lots to choose from and plenty of seating. The open really early in the morning so we also manage to grab food before we left Hobart. There’s a toilet inside but you need to ask the staff for the key.

Great cafe/bakery while you are in Hobart. I actually found it to be one of the only cafe's that was open later in the day. Great cappuccino and would recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Great Coffee!

As visitors from Sydney to Hobart, we found Banjo's refreshingly hospitable! Can't wait to return to get more of Banjo's charm and hospitality!

Heavenly croissant. I specifically visited this cute European style little cafe 7:30 in the morning to ensure I get their fresh- out of oven croissants, and God it was the most delicious thing ever. Definitely different from the usual almond croissants as this one has custard in it. But it is so flakey with balanced sweetness. Warning though: the croissant is huge and you can’t stop eating once you start, so take someone with you to share Coffee was ok. Nothing extraordinary but fine.

Amazing Pastries always get our croissants and pastries for bdays and celebrations. Perfectly flakey and buttery. Always consistent perfection. Definitely recommend can get busy so i recommend to order ahead. We also have a nut allergy in the family and we’ve never had problems with their pastries.

First pastry store I visit in Tasmania and I was blown away! Everything is amazing and baked fresh daily. The coffee is a 10/10 too. Highly recommended.
