3 Best Cafes in Hobart TAS

Great cafe in the city of Hobart. Lots of seating outside and a small amount indoors downstairs and more upstairs. Great menu with lots of choices. Service is very attentive and coffee very good. When you ask for extra hot that is exactly what you get. I had the hotcakes which were delicious and presented beautifully. My partner enjoyed the bruschetta which was also beautifully presented and very tasty. A small selection of cakes available. They are open for breakfast , lunch and dinner and offer quite an array of pizzas. Definitely worth a try.

Go upstairs!!! Sorry, had to make that my first advice so you don't just flick through and miss this key fact. Upstairs, via a spiral staircase, has table service and a superb view. I feel this place is a real treat. The coffee was nice. The breakfast... wow... it was generous and sustained us the entire day. So to repeat, go upstairs and get a window table.

A delicious breakfast was had. The staff were very friendly. The coffee didn't have as much froth as is expected on a cappuccino but it tasted good none the less. Go upstairs for the view.

Perfect place for a drink especially if you're a little hoarse Great drinks selection and interesting options on tap. Seems like a very popular place for local meetups. The wood fired pizza was good, especially if you love cheese. Meat balls were amazing and the sauce was absolutely divine. Pro tip: save some of the crusts to dip into the sauce.

We visited on a Saturday for brunch when it was a little busy. We were directed to a table and the waitress told us that she’d be right over to set us up, but another 10 minutes went by and we still hadn’t been seen. Finally we were brought menus and water. Clearly our table had been immediately forgotten about.

Popular cafe and bar serving up a great selection of dishes on busy Elizabeth Street. The food is always good and there is a young and dynamic vibe to the place. Large indoor and outdoor seating areas.

What can I say! I had no idea of this place until my friend decided to take me for lunch. I'm so glad he did. It was rather busy when we turned up but there were a couple of tables inside where we could sit. I decided on the Po Boy filled with lettuce, tomato, chicken and bacon topped with a killer Spicy Satay sauce that was to die for. For a drink I chose a dirty Chai Latte which all came to about $28, so worth the value. The dish was more than enough to fill me. The staff were super friendly, the wait time was more than acceptable given how busy they were and the value is great. Would be the perfect place for breakfast also.

We have eaten here before and always look forward to coming back. Excellent menu, we had the 'Fat Boy's roti that had grilled chicken and vegetables with peanut sauce. Their coffee is always amazing and it's in a great area at Salamanca. If you are in town eat here...oh and you can do your washing here. Really.

Such a lovely spot to grab a coffee and a bite to eat! I ordered a breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread and it was absolutely delicious - paired perfectly with an amazing coffee. I would highly recommend stopping in if you get the chance.
