3 Best Thai Restaurants in Hobart TAS

Great food, great location and lovely staff. Don’t be fooled by the location of this restaurant situated on the first floor of an old building in the middle of Salamanca Place. Even if the restaurant’s presentation doesn’t look very appealing the food at this place is very appetising. The food serving is a little too small (price ratio wise).

Two of us visited Suwan Thai Restaurant in Hobart on a Saturday evening. We ordered the coconut rice, massaman beef curry, and satay chicken and vegetables. The food was served quickly, and tasted freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Thank you to Suwan Thai Restaurant.

Located on the second floor of an arcade off Salamanca Place. We found the food to be a bit hit-and-miss. The pad kee mao was great - glossy, spicy, fragrant with basil and the veggies are fresh and crisp.

This, is absolutely my favorite Thai restaurant in Tasmania. We love Thai food and Thai people (who don't?!). I tried many Thai restaurants in Tasmania. And I can confidently say this one is the best. We ordered Pad Thai, Kao Thai and Tom Yum noodle soup. The taste is above average and the price is very reasonable. Two front staff members are ultra polite (like other authentic Thai people I used to know) and caring. They observed what we needed and served before we asked!! A+ service, absolutely.

Enjoyed the food which was tasty, a good portion and used a nice variety of fresh vege. Would definitely dine here again.

Nara Thai is an absolute gem that deserves more than just five stars. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warmest smiles and exceptional service. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive We have The Pineapple Fried Rice which is a must try it’s a perfect blend of sweet and savory with a delightful texture. The Crispy Pork Salad is another standout dish, offering a burst of flavors and a satisfying crunch. Every bite is proof to the chef’s expertise and passion for cuisine. Nara Thai is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. Whether you're dining in or taking out, the quality remains consistently high. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in amazing food and exceptional service. This place is a true treasure!

A small restaurant with surprisingly good food. We didn't book a table on Friday night, but a waiter has figured out how to accommodate 4 of us. He is so friendly and helpful. A thumb up for both the service and the food.

Came here to dine in as suggested by a friend while visiting Hobart from sydney, the food was absoulately amazing and the staffs were lovely. Will visit this place again.
