3 Best Department Stores in Newcastle NSW

Kmart represents great value for me and my family. Anything I have bought that has had a defect has always been swiftly refunded. The staff are always nice, friendly and helpful. The new layout of the stores does take a little getting used to, but I prefer it over the old layout as it is different from other stores like Target.

5 stars for one of the workers, Zali, I came in looking for Lego D&D figures (and I couldn’t find them), she bent over backwards to help me find them and was so sweet! Thank you Zali for your amazing customer service I appreciated your help heaps.

I had some fantastic service from a young gentleman who was probably about 17 years old, I think his name was Luke from memory. He deserves a pay raise.

The staff were extremely helpful to old me and my even older sister. Helped with fitting, helped with getting off mobility scooter and into change room. Treated us like royalty. We are so grateful to you for helping us so much. It's no easy task shopping for nesseties when you are old and immobile, and we were treated with dignity and respect. Wonderful staff. Great shop.

I purchased the new alcohol-free Dior J’adore perfume from the Dior beauty counter and was served by Christen. She was so sweet and friendly - I really enjoyed her assistance. There was only the large sized bottle left so she threw in a few sample freebies. Definitely a great place to buy perfume.

Can't tell you how much I love this store. The staff are so friendly and all of them I have dealt with go well above regular customer service. The sales are the best and they tend to have a few. Watch out for a bargain.

A huge shoutout to Keenan in audio and tech. Over the years I have been assisted by Keenan on many occasions, his customer service is always amazing and nothing is too much trouble. What a lovely young man and what an asset Big W have. I love walking out of a store feeling better than you walked in. Well done Keenan.

Went to check out Big W Jesmond to see what fishing gear they had. Was I impressed. Their selection was great. Bigger range and more stock than other Big W stores and even competitors stores, whose shelves were almost empty. Highly recommended.

Amazing customer service from Khyzer (sorry if spelt your name wrong) at the cash registers. He noticed I was limping in pain and did his best to process the transaction quickly and handed over the goods in a helpful manner. Thank you.
