Waterworks Reserve is a Serene, leafy reserve area featuring various walking trails, picnic areas and playgrounds. It was first built in the 1860s. The tree-shaded lawns and children's playgrounds in a Waterworks are widely known for picnics and barbecues. Site 1 in the park is a sheltered site suitable for 15 adults. Also, there is space with a further Fifteen people in the uncovered section of the building is provided with barbecue and water tap. Site 2 is suitable for twenty-five adults. The site is intended for larger groups if the exposed portion of the site is used. There are eight more sites available for visitors."

Waverley Flora Park has an awesome variety of wild orchids and plant species in a small area. It is a perfect place to have foreign friends or anybody you want to display the varied flora. A park is also a place for tourist rock climbers who want a fast bouldering spot in Hobart."
