“Town Beach Park offers a modern, innovative playground, outdoor gym equipment, and a skate park. The 600-1500 metre-long beach curves between the southern river entrance wall and a jagged high headland, capped by the Pilot's flagstaff. Town Beach Park provides open grassed areas with shade overlooking the beach and picnic facilities. A kiosk offers fresh, delicious food, good coffee, and a sea breeze view. The park is along the path from Skate Park and Town Beach, a designated area offering a fantastic outdoor gym for workouts. The park includes a large children's playground, outdoor gym equipment, toilet facilities, a kiosk, plenty of open space, undercover picnic tables, and views of the beach and river. Town Beach Park is situated at the northern end of Town Beach, adjacent to the breakwall and the Hastings River.

“John Downes Park is a waterfront recreational area featuring a fishing pier, a dog-friendly beach, an aviary, and beautifully landscaped gardens. The parks have ample areas for playing sports, such as paved areas and ball games. The park has 69 playgrounds scattered across their region, offering various play features that cater to all ages and abilities. John Downes Park provides play areas, equipment. This park has everything available, including car parking, picnic tables, BBQs, and toilet facilities. Visitors can enjoy a large flying fox within the park, a slide, ample seating, shaded areas provided by trees, and swings designed for extra height. “McInherney Park is a recreational area featuring walking tracks, water views, play equipment, and a splash pad for kids. The park provides hundreds of kids who will enjoy this multi-purpose equipment yearly. The park has a lot of benches for sitting and picnic tables. McInherney Park has camp and play equipment that caters to various specifications and abilities for younger and older kids. There are eight picnic tables, BBQ facilities, a boat ramp, and toilet amenities under a large cover. McInherney Park backs onto the Hastings River and is perfect for picnics, family gatherings and water activities. You can access the river to go boating, swimming, kayaking or fishing.”

TOWN BEACH PARK REVIEWS

Town beach has something for everyone. Skate park for land kids, great surf for water babies, breakwall art for the inquisitive, coffee shops and restaurants offering good food, spectacular views and friendly good vibes. Best views from the lookout. Great place to support the Iron man.

Either around sunrise or sunset the views are simply stunning. Port Macquarie is such a beautiful town and the locals are so warm and friendly. I love all the walks and little shops here.

Great avo walk waiting for sunset. Amazing scenery looking over the Pacific Ocean. The skate park is fun and the playground provides additional fun for little ones.

This small park has a few great activities for the kids, including a slide, flying fox, swings, and more. There is loads of parking, public bathrooms, and some incredible views from the various viewpoints dotted around the park

Beautiful park with gorgeous lookout over the head over the ocean. The colors of the trees with the ocean so soothing. Excellent park with a flying fox, jungle gym with slide and swings fabulous park for the whole family.

A nice park with views in all directions - plus some crazy people today walking a tight rope between the lookout and the knob to the east. They're 'just doing it for fun'! I think I'll stick to mountain biking!

MCINHERNEY PARK REVIEWS

Beautiful little secluded park with barbecue facilities and tables to sit and eat. There is wharf kids can jump off at and a small beach for little ones to play in water. The parking lot is small so get in early on a good day if you are wanting to set up for a lunch with the family.

Great place to meet relax with family and friends. Large well maintained grass area with under cover seating and bbq area. Located right on the river with a small sandy beach good for a swim with the kids. Fishing, swimming, parties fun for all the family.

Lovely little spot, has tables and a few BBQs or take a shade and some chairs to relax while the kids have a swim in a little beach area,also plenty of grass to throw a ball around.
