Just had a tour of the mines with our guide Jamie. The tour was really interesting, educational, fun and Jamie was funny and engaging. I was anxious going in but there is a lot of room and you are made to feel at ease. Lots of explaining and demonstrations. The kids loved it. It is cold though, so bring a coat and wear closed in shoes as it's a mine - the ground is wet in places. Above ground there's lots to explore, poppet head to climb and gold to pan.

The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable. We went to the beautiful Chinese garden and took some photos . What we truly enjoyed was the museum. It was amazing to learn about the Chinese culture in bendigo and how the loong (dragon) became a part of the Easter celebration. The jade chariot was simply amazing to see. Such a wonderful trip and will highly recommend it to others. Well done, Bendigo...

These botanic gardens have something for all ages. Blood, sweat and money has been directed to these gardens over the last few years and more is still to come under the Master Plan. The 'Alice in Wonderland' playground is tactile and inspirational, BBQ facilities are new, pathways are smooth and well constructed. There is a large pergola for eating and a swimming pool within the gardens.
