Bendigo Art Gallery was first housed in the former Bendigo Volunteer Rifles' room, which was converted into an exhibition space by Bendigo architect William Charles Vahland and renamed Bolton Court. The Gallery is proudly acknowledged and operated by the City of Greater Bendigo, with additional support from Creative Victoria. Bendigo Art Gallery is one of the oldest and largest regional art galleries. In 1962, the gallery was again extended with office space, additional exhibition spaces, and a new entrance. The gallery's collection strongly emphasises British and European Continental 19th-century painting, with works by Ernest Waterlow and Pierre Puvis de Chavannes, among others.

2025 Update: Bendigo Art Gallery, you can see art from the 1850s to today, Bendigo goldfields art, and European paintings, sculptures, and decorative art.

Golden Dragon Museum is dedicated to the culture and history of Chinese Australians, particularly in the region. The museum was established to interpret, preserve, and document Chinese heritage in Australia. The Golden Dragon Museum is believed to be the oldest and longest imperial dragon in the world. The museum's precinct includes Chinese Gardens and a temple to Kuan Yin. Through the museum accreditation programme, it was the first authorised museum in Victoria. The Golden Dragon Museum provides free entry with one admission ticket for companion and carer cardholders. Car parking is available at the rear of the museum via Park Road and at McCrae Street Car Park.
