3 Best Bakeries in Newcastle NSW

What a find. Drove from Sydney for Knights game, detoured here! The most divine pastry I have tasted - and I taste a lot! Our family devoured pork and chutney sausage rolls, beef and stout pie, beef pie, chicken satay pie, egg and bacon pie, lemon and white chocolate tart ( we have a large family). All superb. Staff pleasant and coffee good. Great range of take home gourmet jams, nuts, muesli, cold brew coffee and more. Make the trip, you won’t be disappointed.

My first time trying this place and now I know what all the noise was about! I had the best croissant I've ever tried here - filled with gruyere cheese at the perfect consistency (and ham). The brioches, tarts, pies and sausage rolls also looked delectable with interesting flavours. Come here if you want your cheat day perfect.

One of the best bakery’s I’ve been to. This place is like a hidden gem, amazing atmosphere and the food is even better. Bread is so good. We spent 3 nights in Newcastle and went here all 3 mornings, good coffee, great pastry selection. Chicken Pesto toastie hit the spot. Got it on the last day, wish I got it on the first.

I love love love the bread at this bakery. They also make an extremely good takeaway coffee and have a solid selection of pies and sausage rolls that are all delicious. This is not a super-trendy cronut bakery, they make the classics - cupcakes, caramel slices, scrolls and the like - and they make them extremely well! They also remember the names of locals and support local organisations within the community.

One of the best bakers in the world here.. the complex flavour profiles in the fillings are second to none! The pastry again second to none! Thank God for this true traditional bakery of Newcastle hunter NSW !! Traditionao fillings traditional pastry.. traditional recipes.. a true Master Baker i tip my hat to you sir. And ma'am. Cheese and bacon sausage roll. Outstanding. Not too greasy. Plenty of cheese and bacon. Pastry fresh. Cheese and bacon roll great too but ate it before I took a photo….Great staff. Will be back when next in Newcastle. Well priced as well.

Went in this morning for the first time to try and find something sweet to share at Mother’s Day lunch. Wasn’t expecting to find the sweetest cake perfectly decorated, I bought it without asking the price and it turned out to only be $20! I got the last one on display but the lady said she was about to decorate more plus some people had ordered the specially in advance.

Exquisite pies, every aspect is perfect and they are the only pie that isn't a painful and messy race to the end, perfectly balanced and delicious, i suspect these are made with love and even if they are not they are definitely made with legendary skill and consistency.

I recently tried the birthday cake, and it was absolutely amazing! The freshness really stood out, making it one of the best cakes I've ever had. Plus, the price was fantastic for the quality. Highly recommend.
