3 Best Mexican Restaurants in Newcastle, NSW

This is one of our favourite places in Newcastle and it was no surprise that my son picked it for his 18th birthday celebration dinner with friends. It's understated and not showy, but delicious and a great atmosphere. We had a great night, everyone loved their choices, and the orders came quickly. We'll be back again soon .

I just arrived in New Castle on a business trip. I was looking for something to have for dinner. It was perfect. I ordered the burrito with Pollo Assado, so tasty the seasoning is so good. Well portion as well. I think is good price. The place seems to be very nice.

Definitely the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Portion size was huge and it tasted amazing! Unique interior with rustic look. We went there on a Saturday night and it was very lively. Food presentation wasn’t very sophisticated . It was more like Street style with authentic taste! I’ll definitely visit again the next time I’m in Newcastle!

Satisfaction guaranteed!!!!! Vegetarian Burrito Bowl is always a win here at Guzman y Gomez. So tasty, so fresh and such fast service. Definitely a favorite of mine when I'm in town. Gluten free goodness at its best. Thanks guys.

Great food, awesome service by an awesome team of staff. The portions sizes are great at a reasonable price. Tried it for the first time a few months ago after coming to Australia. After roaming around in NSW , I can confidently say that its the best in whole NSW.

Dude. Best batch of Queso Fries I've ever had at a GYG. Bloody well done. And the Cali burrito absolutely slapped. Staff was chill as hell, music was a vibe and a half. Couldn't recommend it enough.

The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was delicious. I ordered the CAMPECHANO burrito with CRANDE UPGRADE, which was a generous serving of beef, chorizo, rice, beans, cheese, salsa, and guacamole. It was a good burrito, full of flavor and spice.

The best Mexican I have ever had and I am picky with my Mexican! The birria tacos were freaking amazing and the cocktails even better. Will most definitely be returning!!

Loved the food and service. Great place to eat after a workout and no breakfast. Chimichanga was delicious and filling. Perfect after a long walk.
